There's no question that Skip Alston's crying wolf over racism is wearing thin. I was happy to see the N&R editorialize on it. Racism is an important issue and shouldn't be trivialized by errant and overdone accusations where no facts are offered to support the contention. However, I didn't see the N&R editorial writers include *all* the links to the local bloggers who have been, over the past *several* weeks, calling for Skip to provide facts to support his latest outcry. *cough*

Skip Alston is one problem the blacks need to eliminate. He gives them all a bad name, and every time he gets away with calling people "racist", he gives the rest of the blacks in this county reason to call the police, merchants, and all the others who WON'T give in to them, "racist" and get away with whatever they're trying to do. Skip Alston is one of the biggest problems this county has.

I have had quite a few black friends. The black people I have known don't care for Skip Alston either. And I'm talking about poor, black urban people. They don't like him. They see him for the crook that he is. Yet somebody IS voting for him. I have a feeling that the first time a respected black candidate challenges Alston, he will be out of office. Much like Earl Jones.

Right on! Skip is always yelling racism, or in the meetings making sure "african-americans" get their fair share at bidding on tax dollar jobs, etc. It seems to me that SKIP is GUILTY of STEALING from me, and you. His Management Company took the loot. Maybe that is partly why he wants to make sure "african-american's" get in the bidding process? *shrug* Skip needs to get to Steppin', cuz the people of Guilford County have had enough.
