Helpful police officers

On June 28, a police car was stopped behind a motorist in front of the property of the old Burlington Industries building. They were changing a lady’s tire.

I am and have been very vocal in expressing what I feel is wrong with law enforcement.

These two policemen reminded me of what is right.

Thank you.

Andy, have you ever thought about doing a ride-a-long with your local police? Most departments offer that program and you'd get a lot of insight into all the things they really do.

Hey you're right John, there's nothing better than the joy of seeing other people get in trouble.

Hey Steve,

Have you always been a wisejerk or does your diaper just need changing. Do your parents know what you are doing on their computer ?

oot,

It gets a whole lot worse than that.

That's nice of them to come to the rescue of the poor helpless lady. I bet they felt like real studs. You think they would do the same for a middle-age guy who doesn't know how to change a tire?

Let me share a recent story. I had walked to the store on a pretty spring day. As I stepped off the curb, I stumbled and injured my leg pretty badly. I was bleeding. I looked up and there was a police officer sneering at me. I hobbled to his car, explained the situation and told him I lived just a quarter of a mile up the road. I asked him if there was anyway he could take me home.

He looked me dead in the eye and said " What do ya think I am, a taxicab?" Then he drove off. I wonder what he would have done if I was blonde, 5' 6", young, beautiful and female?

"truth" you should of gotten his badge number and reported him.
Protect and SERVE damnit. That's the motto. Right?
I am sorry they treated you that way. If we had badge numbers, this could be a very interesting situation for those sneering law enforcement officers, and I use the term loosely.
I do not think they would of treated ME the same way cuz I'm a babe. :)

It'll be a great day when cops spend their time helping people change their tires instead of busting Ham's for holding poker tournaments, arresting people for peacefully smoking marijuana in the privacy of their homes, and otherwise harrassing people for committing similar "crimes."

Lilly,

You would have DEFINITELY got a ride. Probably would have carried you to your door. You babes got it like that.

Amen to that Paul!!!
Doing anything other than that would resemble REAL police work, which imo, alot of them do NOT want to do. It's all about the gun and badge, and the authority over others.
Now now, don't jump on me for painting with a broad brush, I know I tend to do that sometimes, however, with this particular topic, I stand by my statement.
