This new hire really "takes the cake"
Our school system is hiring, for $122,000 per year, an "executive accountability and research officer" (statistician) whom Dr. Grier says will uniquely identify individual children needing help (I thought that's what teachers did).
The school system's director of human resources says this is one of the system's best hires, that it "takes the cake," according to the Rhino Times.
I read where we will be short on money for teaching assistants.
I agree with the human resources director's comment. This "takes the cake."
Try to envision the comments of the teachers in the faculty lounge. (There's a real morale builder.)

Where can I apply? I need the extra cash.
Another shining example of Guilford county confiscating our tax dollars for politically correct social program waste.

They say "Dumb Kids To Be Singled Out".
Who is going to single ouy the dummies in the human resource department ?

And to think, if enough voters had done the correct thing last November, this could have very possibly been avoided! Instead we keep the same school board and stupidintendent!

Until we hold the schools accountable for the money they're given, this misuse of funds will only get worse. Money that could go for teachers is being wasted on "Terry's Trash" (little projects).
Also, does anyone out there know anything about Terry's program where advanced students take classes on a college campus instead of at the school? What extra expense does this program generate for our school system? Is it more expensive than if the student took AP courses at the high school? If the program is, in fact, an extra expense, it means that we TAXPAYERS are helping PAY for that student's college education.

Terry talks the talk but we see the results don't we? He did okay those first years, but now the fruits of his labor are coming back for ALL to see.
