Liberal media gleeful about 2,000th death
There was a time when the only thing lying in the road no one would try to miss was a class-action lawsuit lawyer. They have been displaced by liberal journalists.
It must be a relief to you and your paper that the death count in Iraq has reached 2,000. I have heard this number for almost two years as a goal you were shooting for. Why not print the number of deaths in the first World War, the second World War, Korea, Vietnam? This was a costly price to pay for peace also. Guess which party was in power when World War II was fought.
Why do you not print the figures of the dead and run pictures of them? I wonder if you think the American people are dumb enough to listen to you.

"Eroding public support cannot keep the administration from continuing to prosecute the war any more than discontent did in Vietnam, unless it is expressed in congressional action. Moreover, though a decline in American casualty rates is unlikely to boost support, it may, as in Vietnam, cause the public to pay less attention to the conflict."

Yes, you're absolutely right. Liberals have an unsatiable thirst for human blood, especially the blood of red-state soldiers. It's like wine to them. It's true!

Ken,
You can't compare WWII and this war. One was a war of world unity trying to overthrow a dictator who was invading peaceful countries in order to obtain world dominance. While Saddam had done this in the past and the world responded accordingly, this war was unprovoked and based on false information.
And for the record, as a liberal, I was never in favor of this war. But I do wish the troops all the best and hope they are able to do the job given to them and hope they come home soon.

Good lord Brian, do you consider yourself a member of the "Liberal Media"? I don't think wanting the death of soldiers not to happen is a partison issue. Us conservatives do not want that either. I also don't want to wake up to half of America being blown away either!

WWII was a 'war of world unity'?
Somebody should have told Japan, Italy and Germany that.

You know, I just don't understand liberals. Everything they say is so counterintuitive to common sense. We are Americans and we all should love our country and support the President no matter who or she is. The freaking terrorist are trying to kill us at all costs. Heck, Iran is saying openly it will get nukes and destroy Isreal and the U.S.. What don't you liberals understand? The 60's are way over and smoking dope is no longer an in thing to do. Wake up and smell the coffee liberals. If the terrorist get here you are the first to be beheaded as the radical muslims will seek out the perverts, Homo's and non morals first. WAKE UP AMERICA!!!
