Our royal president drags country down
More rich people; more poor people; more people without health care coverage; more confusion about prescription drug benefits; more debt as a nation; more divisive acrimony among citizens and political parties; more secrecy; more doublespeak; more fear-mongering; more illegal wiretapping of citizens; more money spent on weaponry; more soldiers killed every day; more innocent Iraqi men, women and children dying every day; more distrust of the United States around the world; more wasteful spending of the world's resources; more, more, more — and more excuses every day.
What has happened under King George W.'s administration to this great society's aspiration of being a "city set upon a hill"? What has happened to us to let King George W. drag us down with him to such depths? How long will it take us to repair the damage inflicted by King George W. on us and the other peoples of the world, and when will we begin the repair job? I hope and trust rather soon.

Deamon Deacon is that you?

More rich people because the economy is booming (unemployment at 4.7%). Under Clinton, I paid rent, had no savings, was in debt, made $10/hour in a dead-end job. Under Bush, I bought my first home (and have now paid off the mortgage), I make $15/hour (middle class, but doing well), I am absolutely DEBT-FREE, plus I have over $18,000 in savings. Not bad for a high school graduate, who did not ask for a gov't handout, but took advantage of Bush's tax cuts and economic prosperity.
More acrimony because of the Democrats insane hatred for Bush after the 2000 and 2004 elections which they claim he stole (WHAAAAAAH!) Such acrimony exists because the Dems put their party loyalty about their loyalty to this country, sympathizing with terrorists in order to bring down the Republican Party and President Bush. Also know as "treason".
LESS double-speak (Bush hasn't lied under oath like Clinton did in 1998)
Same wiretapping that was done under FDR against the "isolationists" during World War II, the same wiretapping that JFK did against Martin Luther King and other civil rights leaders, the same wiretapping approved by Jimmy Carter in 1979 (source:Washington Post), and the same wiretapping/eavesdropping by Bill Clinton under the NSA's "Project Echelon" (profiled on CBS's "60 Minutes in 1999)
Soldiers are now dying because Bill Clinton chose to "pass the buck" of confronting terrorism in the 1990s, thus allowing 9-11-01 to occur even though he was offered Osama Bin Laden in 1998 by the nation of Sudan. Soldiers are now dying to bring down the brutal, genocidal dictators that promote terrorism worldwide. Evidently, you are one of the many on the Left who have already forgotten 9-11-01 (or do you think that it didn't really happen, as part of a grand Bush conspiracy?).
If this is such a "miserable" situation in this country, perhaps you should leave for Canada, France, or some other country. If you need a ride to PTI, please respond and I will be happy to provide free transportation. Heck, I may even purchase your one-way ticket out of this great, strong, and prosperous country.

Thomas, How on earth did you save up $18,000? That means you must have gone without cable/satellite,didn't eat out much, drive an older car, shop at garage sales/flea markets, don't buy anything at a convenience store, don't use credit cards and don't get sucked into the marketing hype of "gotta have" because the Jones' do.
My God, man, you must have eating scraps and sleeping under bridges.

I'm with hugh on this one (Thomas). How did someone without basically nothing (my wording) purchase a house, develop $18,000 in savings on just $15 an hour. It sounds too good to be true; my dad told me, "son if it sounds too good to be true, IT IS!"
Shalom

Thomas,
If things were so bad for you during the Clinton years, why didn't you leave??
Posted on February 6, 2006 2:18 PM
Thomas,
You obviously were a drain on the economy during the Clinton years---why didn't you just pull yourself up by the bootstraps?
As long as NO one helped you and you did not get a government handout, Neocon, Hugh, and Dan don't care if you lived or died. As long as they didn't have to support your laziness during the Clinton years, they will applaud your saving prowess.
Just curious, did you save your $18,000 by living with mom and dad? There's nothing wrong with that, so don't be afraid to answer.

....no, he got it from YOUR mom and dad, who were so embarrassed by your attitudes, they cut you out of their will. They found an nice enterprising young person (Thomas) to give it to, in hopes of atoning for their failure with you.....
...oh, I'm sorry, DD.....I wasn't aware they hadn't informed you of being cut out of the will yet.....
