Another goofy idea from fearless leaders
I am disappointed in the News & Record for failing to carry any story about the recent creation of a new federal department.
I have it from a reliable source that old "Brownie" has been appointed to head the new Department of Bone Headed Ideas. How else can you explain the plan to sell parts of the Uwharrie National Forest and send the proceeds to the Pacific Northwest?
Future plans for the new agency include opening our national borders (even wider) and having North Korea operate all our seaports. Also under consideration is a plan to replace all our battle tanks in Iraq with French-made LeQuak models that have one forward and five reverse gears. The one forward gear is to be used only if you are attacked from the rear.

Richard, how about we put Robert Byrd as head of DRR (Department of Race Relations) or Teddy Kennedy as head of the new CWSS (Commission on Water Sport Safety) Or how 'bout Slick Willie as head of..... well, just the HEAD dept.?
I'd say things are looking up for W. When you have to print a letter like this, you have ran out of substance.

Neo, I guess the N&R ran out of Bush bashing letters for the day, and this one was all that was left. I'm sure Deacon will jump in here, please write a LTE for print Deac, it's your duty.
How bout Al Gore as head of DIC, Dept. of Internet Creation?
Howard Dean as DVSS, Dept. of Voice & Screaming Studies?
Clinton can HEAD up hiring and massagement,..er...sorry....management of White House interns.
Of course John Kerry can work in the Treasury Dept. so he can spend that $87 billion that he voted for before he voted against it.
John Edwards can work for the attorney general in charge of tort reform.

Deacon, are you so angry and sniping in everyday life that you cannot appreciate a little humor? The LTE was in humor, so was my response, so was Neocon's. Lighten up please.
By the way, that bumper sticker is old, I remember seeing a few at least a year ago.

Howie, reread my letter, I asked Deacon to write a LTE for print, no baiting.
I was just having some fun here, but Deacon seems to inject his anger into most posts like "you must dig up things from the past". The things I dug up from the past were supposed to be HUMOROUS!! Lighten up folks and enjoy the beautiful afternoon ;-)

Howie, case in point of Deacon's angry sniping, read two LTEs above: "Student proud to be social worker". Everyone was lauding this young ladies decision to become a social worker and wishing her the best of luck in her profession.
But what does Deacon post.....something positive?.......nooooo....he posts "Only a right wing nutjob would demean your job" (socialworker).
It is sad Deacon that you get so angry about everything and have to morph it into something political even when it's not. Remember the time you called me an a**hole? How about the time you called me a woman hater? After that remark and many, many other remarks directed at fellow bloggers, you got seriously chided regarding your angry, insulting rhetoric and you toned it down for at least a week. Now it's back, what gives?

Guess DeLay wanted to spend more time with his family--that's the type spin you would put on it. And YES! Yes, your comments about the social worker were so disingenuous I wanted to puke!
Your comments do not line up with your "Anti Big government" yap yap. Then again, neither does your support of George Bush.

It'll do no good for YOU to chastise the world traveler. It takes 'one of his own'- that being one of the the group he longs to be identified with- to scold him in order for him to crawl under his rock for a couple of days. But even then, it doesn't last more than a few days. I have noticed, however, he has dropped the "produnce" handle when addressing mrproduce, but again, it took a prod from one of his 'own' to accomplish this.
Now watch for the old "neoCON, you are a bottom feeder,trying to move up the food chain" yada,yada,yada line from him/her. Yaaaaawwwwwwwwnnnnnnnn...
