In this day and time, we have everything to fear

Be afraid. Be very afraid. He hears only what he wants to; he promises but never delivers; everything he has put into the system has failed; he provides for the rich and cares for no one except his own cronies.

He has started a war with no end and blatantly has said those who come after him can take care of the war he put us into. He put incompetents into office and denies they have done no wrong. He and they profit from his "mistakes" or non-intervention.

Now, he says, "No, it is not true" while his finger draws closer to the red button to start yet another war. The reason: He has the power of pre-emptive strike regardless what his advisers say. What part of the word "no" doesn't he understand?

Maniac, war monger, dictator, destroyer of our beloved system and way of life. He must be stopped by the voters who can block him through Congress.

Otherwise, be afraid. Be very afraid.

President Cheney, and his Forrest Gump mouthpiece have done severe damage to this country----of course now the Republicans have a "kinder, gentler" Vernon Robinson to run against Brad Miller. LOL

Interesting name, Zora. I like it alot.

This message of doom and gloom brought to you by Howard Screamin Dean and the Democratic party. Oh yeah, don't forget Algore.

I have no problem with criticism of politicians, but the LTE writer shows how far off the cliff she is with terms like dictator, destroyer, maniac, etc.

Go talk to someone who lived under a dictatorship Zora.

And the abyss draws nearer and nearer.....

Bishop [TypeKey Profile Page] said:

I find it funny that the LTE writer didn't mention who the person is, that she's talking about. Yet, all the Republicans and Right-Wingers rush to defend G.W. Bush. I guess if the shoe fits; wear it.

Dan [TypeKey Profile Page] said:

Gee Bishop maybe she is talking about Hitler, after all the far left claim Bush & Hitler are the same thing.

I know one thing, a message of fear of a lame duck president isn't going to win elections.

Her "be afraid, be very afraid" reminds me of Elmer Fudd saying be afwaid, be verwy afwaid.

Is it my imagination, or are the daily BashBush LTTEs becoming whackier by the entry?

I know how whacky the Bush Derangement Syndrome sufferers who post here are, but it looks like Allen is letting more of the looney tooners get published lately.

Hey, I'm with you, Bubba - one does not need to resort to sillyness - wholly legitimate reasons to doubt the wisdom of this adminstration abound without going wacky

Was it chicken little who said "the sky is falling"? I worry more about the ones who complain but offer no alternative.

Dan [TypeKey Profile Page] said:

She did offer a solution, STOP HIM through the voters!!! Send some Democrats to the rescue or be afwaid, be verwy afwaid.

The sky will fall if Iran decides to nuke Israel or sells nukes to terrorists. I'm more afraid of that than George Bush but not the fearmongers on the left. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad isn't a problem, it's Bush by golly. Yes, Bush Derangement Syndrome is a serious illness.

Either it is true that NR does not require passage of a drug test prior to submitting and publishing a letter from the general public or.......That rock concert at Woodstock had some robust residual effect.

Zora, you don't have offspring do you?

All one has to do is read the first line or two and you know what the rest of the story is, as Paul Harvey says.
I really feel sorry for people like the letter writer who only repeats what they have heard and thinks it is original thought when in actuality it is just rote memorization of nonsense. The entire last line shows a lack of any ability to reason and further an argument with any level of civility. The LTE writer just writes what she has read or heard from another equally pathetic individual.
It is equally as pathetic when other's agree with such a level of lack of thought for it shows that they are on the same level of thinking ability as the writer.

mrp, that can be said of any group.

To blindly follow without questioning is very dangerous. America has done that and the rewards of it are being reaped even as I write.

Reference: comments about Iran

As someone said last week, it's safer to have a nuclear Iran, than have Bushie and DICK trying to stop them!

Produce,
You are starting back down the "know it all" road again. Just letting you know, now. Don't want to jeopardize my 'maters'.

mrproduce [TypeKey Profile Page] said:

DD just what in my post entail a "know it all" position? I simply commented that it is easy to spot one of the "bashing" letters by the first line(no matter who it is bashing). I stated that I pity the individual who wrote the letter since she displays the same traits that so many of the other writers of the typical letter as she post, especially as the last line, exhibited. Those traits usually indicate a lack of thinking on those writers part since most of what is written has been written in the same and often identical style and wording.Guess it is a habit aligned with training, to see the styles and such that others would not ordinarly see. It does not take a rocket scientist to draw the parallels DD.
