Senate immigration bill eyes future constituents
I'm confused about the Senate's version of the (illegal) immigration bill, also known as the "let's reward the 12 million illegals who have violated our laws by illegally entering our country" bill. Democrats, real and closeted, tell us of the great benefits of having these folks here to do jobs "that Americans won't do."
I understand that to mean mostly low-paying jobs with no benefits. These people pay little or no income taxes and end up using more tax dollars in food stamps, Medicaid and other social programs. Most send their earnings back to their native countries. How does this help our country?
It helps the dishonest, corrupt politicians who see these people as future constituents. Since the Democrats can't get legislation passed to let felons vote, these mostly uneducated laborers who speak little or no English are the next best thing. These will be the next mindless lemmings voting for the Dems. This is another transparent ploy to further increase the size of government. We'll have millions of uneducated, low-paid workers straining our welfare system.
Who do you think will be paying the bills?

"Democrats ... tell us of the great benefits of having these folks here to do jobs "that Americans won't do."
I would have sworn those were the Prez's words - did the Decider change party affiliation?
"It helps the dishonest, corrupt politicians ... Since the Democrats can't get legislation passed .. This is another transparent ploy to further increase the size of government .. "
I also would have sworn the Senate was Republican held, been that way for quite a while, and a simple "up and down vote" was the answer to all our woos.
Hey - I'm learning a lot today! No More NPR for me!!

Dear Mr. Lehrer.
It has come to my attention that the information you are providing is not correct.

I love the term Ditto-Head.
It's "I'm too busy being entertained, so I agree with what-ever Rush says, and like a stoned guy that can't put two words together, I'll mumble, 'YEA - WHAT HE SAID'."

JDR, you drinking some really strong coffee this mornin?
Tony, don't pin this all on the Democrats. There are plenty of RINO Republicans in cahoots with the Dems in this amnesty bill too. That's what disgusts me.

Is GWB now a RHINO?
The whole immigration issue is just political, as we should all know. If writers would stop blaming one party and not the other, they might have a clue. Our government is in the hands of corrupt, greedy, self-serving individuals. If a politician went to DC with the right intentions, he/she would soon find out that if they didn't play the party game they would have no power...that's what it's all about POWER and re-election.
Has anyone noticed that the American people have NO power? If you think either party is concerned about you, you have your head in the sand.

Dang Carol, you said a mouthfull and I agree with you on this 100%.
Let's all see if we can spoil the plans for re-election of the greedy bunch that wish to reward criminals and drain the rest of us dry. 06 is a good time to start. Be sure to pin the new representatives to term limits as well. We don't need to elect any more lifetime do-nothings.

I'm in a rush---Carol and Mr. Produce----We are on the same page.
Let's stop the party bashing--we need serious solutions and I am willing to listen to anyone who has a reasonable plan or idea.

This posting one right after another is tiresome- but apparently it is the way one attracts liberal followers:

neoCON has posted so many right wing websites on this thread that he may have set a record. Let's hope and pray that apologists like neoCON can finally see that they have been duped by a freespending President and Congress who only care about lining the pockets of their pals.

JDR,
You nailed neoCON to the wall with your expose' of GWB. Unfortunately, he will never understand it.

This is undoubtedly the most moronic LTE in quite some time. The writer is such a partisan, that even he doesn't realize HIS OWN party is his enemy here, and not the Democrats. He has been so used to his own partisan blather, that he just loves to see his name in print. These are the "jokesters" who have gotten us in this mess to begin with, and now they want us all to believe it was the minority in Congress that has caused it???
Of course P. T. Barnum had it right, "There's a sucker born every minute". My guess is that Mr. Moschetti is posturing for November, and doesn't really care about the U. S. of A.

World traveler, can't you concoct one of your stories here about how you overheard an evil republican say something about how he wished the mexicans would overrun the country or something?
Anything would beat low-rent drivel like " duh, you nailed that neoCon to the wall, Godfather" .... lol lol
Posted on June 3, 2006 5:33 PM
neoCON,
You need to go get worked into a lather over Flag Burning and Gay Marriage! That's what "W" is counting on to counter his moronic administration. He wants you to let his buddies have some cheap labor, and you are not helping him. Stand up against real bogeymen, like "Gay People" and "Flag Burners" or better yet, that scourge on America---The Gay Flag Burners!
neoCON, you offer nothing but 3rd rate ideology and you don't even realise it. Go back under your rock and don't come out until you are summoned by the N.C. Militia Movement.

Moschetti,
Are you just this ignorant, or are you unable to differeniate between reality and fantasy? You have so much confused in your LTE, that you have blown your own cover in being a party pawn.
Posted on June 4, 2006 10:37 AM
World traveler, judging by your posts this morning here and on other threads, I'd say it was the demented deacons of the country that is getting "worked into a lather" over this issue.
This one will be fun to watch. I can see the veins popping out on the liberal foreheads now as they try to convince the population that the majority of Americans really are for gay marriage in spite of what the polls say! ..."Must be one of them damn FOX NEWS polls again"! lol lol lol
BTW, does the Godfather know you have wandered off subject, here? He may not be pleased...
