Don't rush to judgment

I find Mike Lukovich's editorial cartoon in the Oct. 27 News & Record offensive, and your inclusion of it on your pages irresponsible.
It is de rigueur for the sycophants in the liberal media to spin for their own benefit; that is expected. However, did anyone on your staff bother to take the time to listen to what Rush Limbaugh actually said?

Or would the truth get in the way?

.. the question is - did John listen?

We hear what we want, I guess.

For example when the WH says, "Stay the course", we need to hear "even though we've mucked up terribly, underestimated, underplanned, wasting at least two years and a trillion unbudgeted dollars ignoring the Military Generals and brow beating anyone who disagrees with us, NOW we're going to make undetermined changes as we truely Stay the course".

".. and while you're at it, 'Stay the course', also means stay away from the Dem's, 'cause they don't have a plan."

I just figured it out ...

"Stay the course" really means, "WE HAVE A MOTTO!"

So I'm going to start hearing ".. stay away from the Dem's, 'cause they don't have a motto."

Sure they listened to what Rush had to say. Katie Couric and Chris Mathews played it over and over again... after just a teensy weensy bit of editing, only to make it more palatable for their audiences of course!

See comments by the hundred in the comments below. Rush is a self-serving, money grubbing guy. Enough said about his antics. Let's forget him.

You are right, Carol. Personally I would be ashamed to admit I gave any credence to anything uttered by the man. He really has nothing of substance to offer anyone and should be pitied, not worshipped as some kind of guru.

Carol and Yvonne,
While the three of us, and many more, agree Limbaugh is a blowhard, there are still the blind followers such as our own Dan who believe every word Rush says. It is sad, but true.

Carol, your comments on Grier letter were great. Although I've had many run ins with the super, I thought the letter was the classy thing to do.
