Charen speaks for Bush; who speaks for people?

I have read the News & Record for many years and have seen numerous letters about the liberal media by conservatives complaining about various editorial writers. I'm surprised that no one has commented on Mona Charen. Her column must come right out of the president's public relations material.

I suspect that every war in history has had citizens that did not favor it. So what is different with Iraq? Yes, it does give the enemy some hope that we are a house divided, but that is our privilege as Americans. It's time that we decided if this war is a benefit to America and worth the sacrifice that has been made and will continue to be made.

Congress is just taking the position that its constituents have elected their representatives to do. Are you listening, Elizabeth Dole?

That's how it is with all wars - with quickies, like the Central America Adventures of Ronnie and B41, one can get away with-out first dialing in America.

Yet with 'nam and this one - Iraq (vs. going after Osama in the hills of Afgan') - we were-not have-not and still-are-not being dialed-in. If fact, it has become the annoying telemarketing call at dinner, with ever-changing sales pitches (apparently hoping one will stick to the wall).

DEAD WRONG ... in my 'umble opinion. I want my leaders to be leaders - taking me when I need to go vs. where I think I want to go ... big difference.

At the risk of another B43 Bash - he is a big follower. Practically everything has done has been running after the cow-udder of American Needs and Opinion. I could list .. but it's too early to put everyone back to sleep.

Elizabeth Dole is as usesless as teats on a man. She should be jettisoned next election as she is an absolute I-D-I-O-T! If you don't believe me, then go to the tape on Meet the Press the Sunday before the November election. She belongs under the dryer at a neighborhood beauty parlor!

I always thought teh LIEBURUL News and Record kept printing Mona's column to make conservatives look bad.

Her last one was a doozy.

Senator Dole is a century or so behind. I have heard her speak many times on fighting the war on "Tara". Didn't we already fight that war? And didn't her side lose?

No that was Cal Thomas!

DemonDeacon [TypeKey Profile Page] said:

Rufus,
Cal Thomas just gives hair stylists the world over, a bad name! His combover is something that would really excite the avian world, as it resembles the nesting place of a feathered flying something...! He even has the bird brain to go with the hair do!

Long live Maureen Dowd!

BTW, looks like Dole is beginning to read the polls and worry about her re-election. She is now lukewarm on the war in Iraq. What a joke. She is destined to have been a one termer. Hopefully!

Oppps, too late.

Guess we'll have to find someone else to make the left look whacky!

Oak Ridge Runner [TypeKey Profile Page] said:

reformed,

Maureen Dowd is the left whacky these days. She's obsessed with Bush Bash, maybe more than Ivans was.

I see DD is still up to his old tricks. Making fun of a person's appearance - typical 5th grade schoolyard stuff. Typical DD.

Nice to see neocon has two more of the 21% posting with him now! Welcome back ORR and Nic! Don't be afraid, your minority status will not affect our love for you! (LOL!)

Elizabeth Dole is an opponent's dream. She stays in Washington until election time, her voice is like fingernails on a chalkboard, and she couldn't reason herself out of a wet paper bag. If the Dems put up a halfway decent candidate, they can retake that Senate Seat with ease.

That, friends, is delicious.

If we were to take Elizabeth Dole and make two lists, one, her positives and two, her negatives, it would look like this:

ONE:_____________________

TWO:
Talks too much
Listens too little
Votes as leadership tells her
Visits NC when she has to
Has birdnest hair
Bad facelift
Talks of war on "Tara"
Partisan Hack/Partisan Hag
Supports Bush 99% of the time
Talks like Southerner, Votes like Yankee
Loves to hear herself
Married to "Hard body" Bob Dole
Couldn't tell you where Gibsonville is located
Her poop is currency in Argentina
Once nursed a flock of flamingos back to health
Mistaken for "Lulu Roman" at AMWAY convention
