Bellamy-Small should be censured by the city
It seems as if T. Dianne Bellamy-Small does not want to acknowledge her threat to Officer Calvert. She implies her "private life is not up for scrutiny," but she tells Officer Calvert her position while asking for his card. Does this not open up her private life? Who else would have gotten away with only a warning?
I hope Chief Bellamy will support his officer, and the city should censure Bellamy-Small.
Is there any relationship between the Bellamys? I am sure Officer Calvert and the other officers wondered about this.
Wasn't Bellamy-Small the one who refused the lie-detector test? It's obvious she thinks she is above the law because of her political position.

Sir,
I am NOT taking up for Bellamy-Small, but you have enough political problems over in High Point that you should be focusing your attention toward. Bellamy Small, is a Greensboro problem.
As Elvis sang in a Mac Davis penned song, "Clean up your own backyard"!

Bellamy-Small is'nt the only one (in the know)
Lie detector test should have been issued, to all PRESENT and PAST Council members.
This all started pre 2005 election.

Mr. Hunter, you should know that some folks consider that "Freedom of Speech" should be restricted by city limit lines. How dare you, a High Pointer, comment on something happening in Greensboro? Perhaps you need a civics lesson:
The First Amendment reads: "Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech, unless, of course, you are commenting on issues outside of your own city."
Interesting who feels restrictions on speech are sometimes required, eh?

DD's charge to High Point to clean-up it's own backyard brings to mind High Point Regional's scream about Cone stepping on their city turf with the emergency center. I guess it is OK for Greensboro to pilfer NHP's private-payors' insurance resources, but not OK for High Point to criticize Greensboro's political problems. Seems like hypocracy to me, DD.

ORR,
I have no problem with Cone moving into that area. I can also understand DD's sentiment regarding outsiders commenting on Greensboro politics.
However, Greensboro, Jamestown, and High Point are so close to each other that they blend together. There are a lot of folks who live in one of these places but work in the other. I don't live within the city limits of Greensboro anymore but I spend a good part of my life there. So, in some ways I am effected by the politics in Greensboro.
So, I guess I see it both ways.

The law is the law, regardless of where one lives.
Integrety, honesty ,is mandatory in public office.
Gee, Monica Lewinsky set a trend ?
How rude to tell a High Point resident he should stay in his own back yard, Sounds like your bulling him into a corner.

Well, to get back to the original subject of the story, Ms. DBS, I see that she has pulled out the old standby in Greensboro...the culture of racism card. When you can get the local communist and founder of the TRC to testify to your good character and call everyone that disagrees with you a racist, then you are innoculated from criticism of your behavior. This was too predictable. Watch how fast this one goes away.

One point, Oak Ridge Runner: The Pulpit Forum, of which Mr. Johnson is Vice President, said in the second sentence of its statement, "Ms. Small is a good representative of her district."
I, for one, certainly agree with that. She's almost a mirror image of the majority of the voters in District 1.
I am confident that you will concur.

Is she aware that there is some kind of strange animal living on her head?
I used to have a lot of contact with the Reverend. He treated me and all the other white folks in my workplace like total crap. He was buddy buddy with all the black folks that worked there.
RAcist? You decide.

ORR,
Cone has contracts with Guilford County to provide a public/private partnership for the Health Department. That is their entry into EVERY community within Guilford County. These contracts have been in place since Trudy Wade chaired the Health Board. So, your comments about Cone are irrelevant here.
Refresher:
Greensboro is a city.
High Point is a city.
Guilford, is the county where both above cities are located.
High Point has its own problems, and Greensboro, likewise, has its own problems. Hope things are a little clearer to you so you can attack me with a better argument next time. You never disappoint.

And what "IS" that thing growing under DBS's hat?
Has what looks to be a prehensile tail or tails coming out from the knit cap, so one must assume it is an animal or animals. From her facial expressions, it is not behaving under the cap and causes some really tense moments for Miss BS. That could be the answer to the whole question of "WHY"?
