More troops in Iraq won't solve problems

Our country is in a mess.

Also, we don't need to send more troops to Iraq. Enough have been killed already.

There are other issues that need attention, too numerous to mention here.

It wouldn't hurt to pray.

Think on these things.

N.R. Smith,
Thank you for your succinct letter. Its simple message is powerful.

I have my doubts about this whole "surge" thing- the 21,000 we're adding are joining forces numbering about 135,000 that are already in country for a total of 155,000.

We've had more than that number of troops in country several times before, usually around election time.

Though I don't think it's necessarily the right idea, I'll grudgingly give it a chance..

I share your sentiments.

They forgot to tell which elementary school the lte writer was attending.

Same one as Mr. Coble, I would suppose.

I count over 100 Cobles in the phonebook. Which one are you referring to?

Nit,
This letter is from the "liberal" equivalent of George W. Bush. Very simple. Not at all deep, but simple nonetheless.

I would call it a "Chauncey Gardner" letter. Some may get that esoteric reference, and some may not.
