People who use labels lack faith in their ideas

Well, Tony Moschetti has done it again. We can always count on him to hit us right in the gut by spewing his hatred and vitriol. His latest letter (Feb. 26), leaves me gasping with dismay and disbelief. How can one person possess so much hatred for another human being?

Of course, the effect of his most recent diatribe against the evil Democrats is heightened by the News & Record's uncanny use of the words "terrorists" and "Democrats" together in the headline of his letter. People who resort to the use of labels (cowards, despicable, treasonous fools, etc.) display a lack of confidence in themselves as well as in their beliefs and positions.

I'm sure you mean labels such as "smirking chimp" and "Shrub". How about algore's favorite to describe the republicans he couldn't beat, "Brownshirts"?

These left many people "gasping with dismay and disbelief". (I wasn't one of them...I got wise to their tactics about 40 years ago)

Well said, neo.

Denz,
You make the matrix of the post manifest! Thanks!

Hmm, the last time I checked, Al Gore did not write montly "love/hate" LTTE to the GSO N & R. That is better that we can say for TM. I guess GSO is now one up on HP. DBS cannot even begin to match up with TM! May mercy be shown to those of us who reside in HP.

Shalom

You're right Sweet Pea. algore doesn't have nearly as much media starpower as Tonymo. What was I thinking?

Darryl,
Tony Mostschitti is undoubtedly an embarrassment for High Point. But like DBS, he has his followers, as evidenced by the post above. Maybe DBS and Tony Mo can get a lounge act going where they both belittle one another---DBS using her overt racism, and Tony Mo using his brand of "code" racism. Either way, they are both useless in the world of ideas.
