A cowgirl in the Capitol? Make way for Pelosi

President Bush has been criticized (and rightfully so, on some occasions) for his swagger. For his "cowboy" attitude. For his "Bring it on!"- type statements.

So, what's up with Nancy Pelosi and her "Calm down with the threats. There's a new Congress in town"?

Who is she trying to be? Annie Oakley? More likely Calamity Jane.

Telling someone to "calm down" is some kind of a cowboy attitude???

Cowboys must be some chillin' dudes.

This letter makes no sense.

Hmm, and there was a GOP senator or congressman visiting Syria the day after Speaker Pelosi. I guess what is good for the good is good for the gander after all!

However, I do not see this article of the US code happening as another would have those reading this blog to believe. Common sense dictates sensible rationale.

Libean,

The Bush administration is making room for like minded prosecutors in its "justice" system. I believe they'd like your "fair and balanced" approach to the law.

Then again it was that "fair and balanced" view of the law that got them in trouble in the first place.

darryl and rufus,
gonzales won't use the logan act against pelosi. he could, but thats his problem, he's weak. many politicians have violated law, both sides, and nothing was done.
notice though how none of those screaming for the ag's head have mentioned an ammendment removing the justice dept. from the political realm?
pelosi has lost major credibility with alot of people.alot of people.

Rufus,

I think it was the "There's a new Congress in town" ala new sheriff in town that made the comparison stick.
