Chain saw massacre

At top is a photo taken on Easter Sunday. Next is a photo taken 10 days later in the same area. It shows the aftermath of a chain saw massacre conducted by Burford's Tree Inc. for Duke Energy on Woodlawn Avenue -- all in the name of "trimming" foliage from power lines. This type of activity needs exposure.

the next time that happens, run in there and grab the trimmings so you can give them a proper human burial and then try suing Burford's Tree Inc. on behalf of the tree because it doesn't have a voice. Fight the power man! The next time i'm in Boone, I'm buying you a brand new hemp necklace.

That second photo looks more 'green' than the first...

"What kind of idiots are working at Duke Power?!How could they let the trees grow over the power lines! Have they never heard of tree trimming? Now, our power is out and our little children can't sleep at night because it is so hot. Someone should be publicly fired at Duke Power."
Danged if you, danged if you don't.

I have no way of knowing, Mr. Andrews, but I'd bet even money that you E-MAILED your PttE, hmmm? Power for your computer was on? Transmission went smoothly, eh?
Here's an idea: Get together the Woodlawn Avenue Community Association and assess everyone whatever is required to either bury your power lines or to hire a tree pruning company to come in and "do it right" year after year. Bingo! Problem solved.

I walked by where they cut the trees last night, and it Does look pretty bad. The pics above don't really do the scene justice.

After reading the caption, I was trying to figure out if the kid was missing a head or a hand.
