Edwards' associations
My mother always said, "You are known by the people you associate with." I am glad to see John Edwards associating with Nelson Johnson, a known and admitted communist.
Coincidence?

Editor’s note: Nelson Johnson calls himself a former communist.

Joe, is there a reason for your LTTE?
Why not submit a LTTE touting the positives about the candidate you support rather than tearing another's candidate choice down. However, if that happens, I will give it no validity. True colors have been show by tearing one down rather that showing support where it lay!

A FORMER communist...well that does it. I'm voting for Edwards...

Known commies like Lucille Ball? Burgess Meredith? Charlie Chapman? Lee Grant (always thought she was a hottie)? (Grandpa Walton) Will Geer? Zero Mostel (how's that for a joke)? Pete Seeger (OK, he was a commie which puts a new light on "If I Had a Hammer" - but don't ever again sing "Where Have All the Flowers Gone", or "Turn, Turn, Turn"), Leonard Bernstein, Lee J. Cobb, Aaron Copland, Burgess "The Penguin" Meredith, Gypsy Rose
"Take it off for America" Lee, Edward G. Robinson - who's final performance was a death scene in "Soylent Green" ...
Are these the Commies we are to be afraid of? What century do you live in, Mr. Wade?

What happened to the "Morning in America" conservatives??
All we get now are the fruitcakes and fringe folks.

I just love the way little brother Allen steps in and informs us that big brother Nelson is now known as a former Communist.
Gee, I wonder if Nelson has dropped his other labels like: coward, instigator, liar & reverend?

Gee, a whole list of famous communists...Where would we be today without Grandpa Walton or the Penguin?

Neo - as one always railing at the g-men stealing your money - I guess you're OK with the money taken from your dad to be spent on McCarthyism.

"Hoover designed President Truman's loyalty-security program, and its background investigations of employees were carried out by FBI agents. This was a major assignment that led to the number of agents in the Bureau being increased from 3,559 in 1946 to 7,029 in 1952."
Money well spent, I'm sure.
==
"McCarthyism was supported by a variety of groups, including the American Legion, Christian fundamentalists and various other anti-communist organizations [including] militantly anti-communist women's groups such as the American Public Relations Forum and the Minute Women of the U.S.A. These organized tens of thousands of housewives into study groups, letter-writing networks, and patriotic clubs that coordinated efforts to identify and eradicate subversion."
Value adding too.
==
"One focus of popular McCarthyism concerned the provision of public health services, particularly vaccination, mental health care services and fluoridation, all of which were deemed by some to be communist plots to poison or brainwash the American people."
AHAH .. now we know where Neo gets his ideas!
=
"Suspected homosexuality was also a common cause for being targeted by McCarthyism"
AHAH .. now we know where Neo gets his ideas!

Dude -- what century is it?

Says something when Ol Joe is still capable of raising liberal hackles. He says more from the grave than the current crop of limp wristed liberals that litter the political landscape.
As for the 'who's who' list of communists...actors and entertainers who would not have survived 15 minutes in Stalingrad.

Neokitty,
You wouldn't last three minutes at the Guilford County jail. What a joke you are.
Posted on July 1, 2007 2:11 PM
Tell you what THE LIBERAL COWARD, I'll spend a day in the Guilford county jail, and you spend a day at Fort Bragg or Parris Island with your Canadian flag tattooed to you ass and we'll see who fares better.
Posted on July 1, 2007 2:58 PM
You know you've got THE LIBERAL COWARD by the nuts (raisin like though they are) when all he can come up with is 'you are pathetic' or 'you are a joke'.
lol

Why is anyone so fearful of Edwards? He is not a true contender for the top spot of the democratic nomination so why try to destroy his reputation? Seems some only perpetuate negativity for some odd reason.

You gotta love this one though:
"If Hillary Clinton thinks women will support her candidacy simply based on her gender she is mistaken," RNC spokeswoman Amber Wilkerson said. "Women, like men, will vote for a candidate because they share their views, and Hillary's consist of higher taxes, bigger government and waving a white flag in the global war on terror."
Posted on July 1, 2007 6:41 PM
OT,
That's at least what Amber hopes. Time will tell...don't see any men that kick up anyone's skirt over in "The World is Flat" society, but Amber can keep hoping. That's what makes the world go around. :)

Edwards associates with a variety of people, just not poor people.

Danny,
How can you raise money to run for President if all you do is associate with poor people?
Edwards brings up an issue that none of the other candidates want to talk about. An issue of morals and character that your Preist would be happy if you would think about from time to time. Why didn't you ask the night clerk at the Hampton Inn Little Rock about that? LOL!
Posted on July 2, 2007 10:20 AM
Morals and character? John Edwards? Whoooooooooweeee that was good Demon Deacon.
I guess charging $55,000 for a speech about poverty reveals morals and character.
Ditto his chronic absenteeism while he was a senator.
http://deseretnews.com/dn/view/0,1249,595078450,00.html
How about the morals and character of creating an organization designed to combat poverty and actually using funds and staff from the organization for his presidential campaign? Even your beloved NYT reported on that one.
Be honest Demon Deacon, if a presidential candidate wants to appeal to mainstream voters do you think hanging out with Danny Glover is a good idea?
By the way I'm not in Little Rock anymore, if you want to call the clerk I'll give you the number.
Posted on July 2, 2007 11:36 AM
You keeping a file on her too?
LOL!! You are so narcissistic.
Posted on July 2, 2007 2:44 PM
Nah, she wasn't a bombthrower.
Posted on July 2, 2007 9:31 PM
BTW, try to answer the question....."Be honest Demon Deacon, if a presidential candidate wants to appeal to mainstream voters do you think hanging out with Danny Glover is a good idea?"
Fairly simple non?
Posted on July 2, 2007 10:35 PM
Little Narcissist,
Danny Glover is an actor in Hollywood. Do you get it? M-O-N-E-Y? Does that ring a bell with you? It is green and is the mother's milk of politics. (Unfortunately)
For every Danny Glover you can find, there is an Ann Coulter, Bob Jones, Pat Robertson, David Duke, Ted Haggard, etc that will be just as divisive for your chosen candidate. Can you wrap that simple mind around that? Or are you so warped as to believe that YOUR candidate is "God's Candidate" or in your case "The Priests' Candidate"? LOL!
Posted on July 3, 2007 9:36 AM
Yuk yuk, lol lol lol. You sound like a 13 year old girl texting her sweetheart of the week. lol lol lol.
Danny Glover is more than an actor in Hollywood, he is a far left political activist. Any dunce could figure that out.
If Edwards thinks hanging out with a guy who idolizes Hugo Chavez is a good idea then let him tie his own noose. But wrap your simple mind around the fact that Glover isn't simply an actor. Bellefonte isn't simply a singer. Got it?
Posted on July 3, 2007 11:04 PM
It's either 'yuk yuk yuk lol lol lol' or "Good point James" or "Darryl, you speak my mind"...
Take your pick.
You shouldn't insult the 13 yr. olds Dan. All my kids were head and shoulders above this *yucking* idiot when they were 13.
Posted on July 4, 2007 6:21 PM
The little narcissist and his parrot strike again!
By the way, Danny, have you printed up some calling cards for the homeless yet? I can't believe they didn't just come up to you downtown and announce, "Hey, I'm homeless Danny!" The nerve of those folks! :)
