Heartbreaking betrayal of national ideals
For the first time in 11 years, I am glad that my daddy is dead. His heart would be broken because the President of the United States has all but admitted that he is in collusion with Lewis "Scooter" Libby, and in contempt of the Congress.
My daddy, as a veteran, would have felt personally betrayed. He would be angry and ready to fight back to recover America's reputation. And, in doing so, would restore our dignity and a world order we could trust. I currently have much pessimism. I'm searching for a leader. Whom may I trust?
The Bush administration has shown itself corrupt and fetid, oozing slime over the people because it can. He is the self-proclaimed "decider" of all and everything, because he says so. We know our emperor is naked, but he parades before us daring us to do anything about his immorality and crimes against our country. Bush has commuted the sentence of his pal "Scooter" because he says it's excessive and Libby's wife has suffered long and much.
My father and uncles laid their lives on the line and also suffered long and much. They would be so ashamed that our country has sunk into this abyss.
Wait, is that fiddling I hear?

The actions of the Crawford Clown surprise you in what way? Anyone with half an ounce of common sense knew that something was going to be "coming down the pike." Now the question is when the full and free pardon comes!
Remember, this administration is more lawless than that of the late Richard Nixon.
Just like the American people knew that President Clinton was a "player" when he was elected; the American people knew that the Crawford Clown was a dishonest person. We are now fully realizing and suffering for the mistake of the electoral collage!

Is anyone else enjoying the twisted conniptions of the
left wingers who so vehemently hate the CIA (as well as all the other law enforcement agencies) and all it does, and yet feel compelled to express outrage that one of it's "operatives" was
outed and the president commutes the sentence of a man who was convicted
for having a crappy memory?

Glad your daddy is dead? I hope you don't kill the rest of your family just to spare them the evils of the Bush Administration.

"His heart would be broken because the President of the United States has all but admitted that he is in collusion with Lewis 'Scooter' Libby, and in contempt of the Congress."
All the horrible things the U.S. government did throughout his life and he would be heartbroken over something measly like this?
Oh, boy.
"I'm searching for a leader. Whom may I trust?"
How about leading yourself? There's no one you can trust better.

Darryl says:
"We are now fully realizing and suffering for the mistake of the electoral collage!"
Electoral COLLAGE? ;-)
The Electoral College, the manner in which a president is elected, is low on the scale of what constitutes our problems. Our problems stem from the fact that the vast majority of society supports the imposition of rulers upon others. You support that system, Darryl, and people like Bush are what you get for it.
Join me in the creation of a society based on voluntary contracting, and we'll come much closer to attaining peace, justice, freedom, and equality.

Nit, I hear dead people too!
I hear Thomas Jefferson and James Madison asking, "What happened to the Constitution? What happened to the rule of law? How did the President become so powerful? How did a retarded man get elected President?

I want to take this moment to apologize to the many smart, brave, productive, and magnificent retarded citizens I have offended.

Bill O'Rights,
What has our great President done so well as to gain you as an apologist? Three things would suffice. That ought to keep you busy until the next election! :)

That link is hilarious! If anyone doubts the bubble this President "lives in", then this takes away the doubt. Here is my FAVORITE part:
President Bush accused Democratic lawmakers on Saturday of being unable to live up to their duties, citing Congress' inability to pass legislation to fund the federal government.
"Democrats are failing in their responsibility to make tough decisions and spend the people's money wisely," Bush said in his weekly radio address. "This moment is a test."
The main reason the immigration measure died, however, was staunch opposition from Bush's own base — conservatives. The president could not turn around members of his own party despite weeks of intense effort
*************
UNBELIEVABLE! He's starting to sound like Dan....EVERYTHING wrong in the world is because of the Democrats! Guess that's what Maureen Dowd would call "Bushworld".

TLC, glad you found the humor in that article as well. Where I come from, that article would be noted as "the pot calling the kettle black!" LOL

Darryl,
Sad thing is, people like Danny and neoKitty will repeat that same ridiculous mantra as if it has ANY validity!
