Dog fights not only way animals are mistreated
Our national media have had a field day reporting on allegations that Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick ran a brutal dog fighting operation and personally slaughtered eight dogs. Yet, no one ever reports on the brutal slaughter every hour of every day of every year of a million cows, pigs and other innocent, sentient animals who are just as deserving of our compassion as Vick's dogs.
There is no life before death for these animals. In today's factory farms, cows' babies are torn from their mothers at birth and chained by the neck in tiny wood crates to produce veal.
Breeding sows are impregnated artificially and confined in similarly tight metal cages. As many as seven laying hens are stuffed for months in a metal cage the size of a folded newspaper.
Following this unconscionable abuse, the animals are trucked for hours without food or water. At the slaughterhouse, they are frequently dismembered, skinned, scalded or drowned while fully conscious.
Every dollar we spend for meat or dairy products at the checkout counter is our direct subsidy for animal cruelty. Let's remember our own responsibility whenever we get upset over the latest report on Michael Vick's cruel treatment of his dogs.

And, I thought that I was an inhuman monster whacking housefly's in my kitchen? Oh, the monter that I am! PETA is going to walk in protest outside of my house. The meat market in this country as well as the rest of the world is a multi-billion dollar market. Is there a nicer way to get the meat to the market? And, can the meat market be stopped, worldwide? Is this another national and world-wide problem for us all to take on. Do I have to add rooms on to my house for the comfort of my flys? The dogs outa here!

Stop, you're making me hungry.
Perhaps if Vick would have served his dogs with a nice Chianti, he'd be in training camp right now.

imagine the plight of the poor vegetables! Ripped from the ground or from a tree or bush, manhandled by illegal immigrants just to be thrown in crates and trucked off to a factory where they are either wrapped in plastic or cooked, canned or frozen. Damn those evil people! What did the lettuce ever do to you!? huh!?

We ought to learn the many various ways of preparing ground dirt. It's crunchy, can be very moist, and with strained sea water, well maybe?? Make sure innocent insects, as well as little tiny one celled life forms are seperated from the dirt and sea water. We'll put the markets right out of business. The Dog's outa here, again.

Gotta love Freburg, he has a history of posting LTEs to save the cows and chickens. This may horrify him, we are on vacation in Maine, yep, a blue state nonetheless. Just yesterday I went to a restaurant, picked out the very lobster I wanted to eat and they threw the lobster, with an ear of corn to boot, into a vat of boiling water!!
BTW, I've been to poultry and pork processing plants, don't remember any animals being skinned while fully conscious. But that lobster was thrown in the pot fully conscious. Gotta get up to Maine and protest these cruel lobster cookers Freburg!!!
