After immigration laws, what else do we ignore?

Who can blame the millions of illegal aliens for coming here where they have practically been invited by contractors, farmers and individuals wishing to profit from their cheap labor?

There are many U.S. citizens who think we should give them driver's licenses, voter privileges, Social Security benefits, send their children to school, etc. In the meantime, our economy is sinking like the Titanic. Ask yourself, do we need an illegal immigrant political party? Maybe they could pass laws that could be obeyed concerning immigration.

Our governmental policymakers are busy passing no-smoking laws. Not many yeas ago, tobacco was among our largest taxpaying industries. Are no-smoking laws more important than our immigration laws? Should smokers just be allowed to ignore them, or maybe drug laws? Where do we draw the line on what can or cannot be ignored?

No matter how compelled the bleeding hearts feel, the United States cannot save the entire world. My experience is they often violently resent interference by us in their affairs.

That's true.

Just a few days ago --- in a Latino neighborhood in Nevada --- Hillary Clinton declared, " No woman is illegal . . . No man is illegal either."

See Three-minute Youtube video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emd1SXX-YSA

Illegal immigration is a golden opportunity for Democrats to entrench themselves in power for decades to come. And they know it. Our state's own Democrats have not let this chance pass them by.

They engineered for North Carolina the fastest growing illegal alien population in the nation during in the 90s. The North Carolina illegal alien population increased about 400% in that decade alone.

How did NC governors, speakers of the NC House and president pro tems of the NC Senate get the job done? Mostly by giving away drivers licenses to illegal aliens --- but also by blocking votes/burying in committee GOP legislation to curb illegal immigration.

As I wrote in the News & Record November 28 (2007): The Democratic Party's record is best encapsulated by the News & Record’s own Taft Wireback in a Jan. 26, 2005, report, “DMV memo OKs licenses for illegals”:

“North Carolina has a wide-ranging reputation as a mecca for illegal immigrants from throughout the eastern third of the country seeking fraudulent licenses . . . The state's poor reputation was the subject of a report broadcast nationally last week on CNN.”

Under public pressure the state’s Democratic Party leadership tightened up on drivers licenses in 2006 but are otherwise “staying the course” on illegal immigration.

In the 2007 session alone, they buried in committee and/or refused to allow a vote on a score of bills targeting illegal immigration.

Thank you Tom for pointing out the facts, that are concealed by the liberal press. Much like the illegals are driving without car insurance.
You never see a word about this in the liberal media. When a family becomes a victim of this.
The only way you hear about this is on a country and western radio station.
Saw a great bumper sticker today.
Please go to work and pay your taxes 21 million illegal immigrants are depending on you.
Could I hear a amen on this from the NR, that want you to pay your taxes to put these assholes these college. Another thing I find amazing, we have seniors that have worked their whole life, they do not get free health care, why should these people that broke into our country get this free.

Nor can the United States "save" America. The only hope for that is a true free market in which everyone's right to associate with whomever they wish is respected.

What the members of the cesspool crew dont seem to understand is that the US is the land of the FREE! Ayone should be free to be here, and take advantage of all the oppratunities the US offers. If you cant rap your small minds around that, is't probly because you mind is TOO SMALL! LOL!!!!!

BTW, I'm flattered that some of you right wing bigots seem to think that TLC and me are the same person! He gets it right!

So what you telling me proud donkey is that we should use spaces in college for illegals and keep Americans out. Also you did not tell us why seniors should have to pay for health care, when illegals do not. and I be glad to know why you think illegals should be allowed to drive with no car insurance and its required of us. of course I like to hear the same response form the good ole boys at the NR, who push the same agenda. Neocon thanks I have seen this.
Sad part is the republican are all for this also.

Here's your downfall. I'm sure you didn't realize it, and I hope you'll consider this an act of mercy more than anything else:

http://blog.news-record.com/opinion/letters/archives/2007/12/candidates_dont_reflect_nation.shtml

You'd been gone for quite some time. Notice the comments in the early December forums wondering if you were okay (a few even questioned if you were Leeland Eisenberg) and noting how the discussions were so civil. A number of us, admittedly, probably missed you a little. You likely don't realize it, but your presence has a way of making people feel much better about themselves. But, unfortunately for your claim, Proud Donkey had, strangely, not posted in the exact same amount of "quite some time."

And then both TLC and PD started posting within a day of one another.

There is no such thing as coincidences, Occam's Razor, etc.

And always assume that the people you interact with are smarter than you. It always helps with conversations, and is a genuine way of showing respect.

And quite often it's the case.

Regards,
Roger

I guess that includes Mohamed Atta & Co.?

In the remote event you and Demon Deaconess aren't one in the same donkaaaaay, Google will help you with the name.

BTW, what's an oppratunitie? And why is ayone free to be here?

"BTW, I'm flattered that some of you right wing bigots seem to think that TLC and me are the same person!"

The concept of multiple personalities preceeds the Internet. So does the groupie wannabe syndrome. Either way case covered.

you really gotta love the simple minds of the american liberal.
lets do this. when your favorite lib is at work, go to their home and remove the doors. thats all.lets see how many are truly for an open society.
and as for this states democrat party??
pro-illegal
pro-criminal
and pro-taxes.
yeah, change is coming.

Is not a donkey the same thing as a jackass?

For the record, Mr. Bennet and Dan, I for one do not believe that PROUDDONKEY and Demon Deacon are one and the same blogger. I believe that PD only parrots what DD says, and really makes both of them look rather foolish (as if DD needed help with that!) The "half a brain" comment was priceless! I've always found that unintended humor is the best.

I'm for an open society, lilbean, but not the kind "liberals" talk about. The open society I call for is one in which all property is private and therefore the property owners are the ones who get to decide who may and may not be on their property, not a State.

You may be correct Nic, that's why I suggested either multiple personalities or the groupie wannabe syndrome. If they are two separate people, Demon Deaconess is the rock star and donkaaaaaaay is his/her groupie sans language and spelling skills. Speaking of which, the stereotype of libs is that they are educated elites while conservatives are a bunch of NASCAR loving hayseed hicks who just rolled off the turnip wagon. Donkaaaaaaay disproves the stereotype.

nitpicker [TypeKey Profile Page] said:

Yep. Got that one right, Dan.

I fall into the same camp as Nic when it comes to who they are.

My first thought was that someone was trying to highlight how STUPID the demon deacon is by posting thoughts with the same ridiculous logic, bad spelling, and juvenile wit. However, why would ANYONE need to highlight what demon deacon does so well just by typing?

But the bigger question is: why are we even discussing it. Who gives a flip who these two morons are.

"Where do we draw the line on what can or cannot be ignored?"

Let's see...........

jay-walking? nope

speeding/driving recklessly? nope

wearing seatbelts? nope

adultery and fornication? nope

statuatory rape? nope

sodomy? nope

Wow, I guess we are pretty much a lawless society. Maybe Anarcho-capitalist will walk a little lighter today.....

I am NOT affiliated in ANY way with ProudDonkey. Judging from past PD posts, I'd say that the PD is a creation of one of our right wing "wack jobs" created to mock whatever I've posted.
Can't be Dan--he's not smart enough and he'd have to jump up and down and take credit for it!
Can't be neocon, as his lazy-Boy and computer are joined and he's just now mastering the internet. He's far too busy with his John Birch software!

DING! DING! DING! WE HAVE A HANDS DOWN WINNER FOR RIDICULOUS POST OF THE WEEK!!!

Just when you thought that racist, and religious bigot, "Nitpicker" couldn't get much more ridiculous he outdoes himself:

"My first thought was that someone was trying to highlight how STUPID the demon deacon is by posting thoughts with the same ridiculous logic, bad spelling, and juvenile wit. However, why would ANYONE need to highlight what demon deacon does so well just by typing?"

Yep, the fellow who claimed Barack Obama was a muslim and that if elected, "he would be worse than Hitler" has the audacity to attack someone!! Laugh out freaking loud!!
Yep, Nitpicker claims blacks are inferior and claims whites are bused in to bring their scores up, NOW attacks me!! Someone get this guy a mirror so he can see how ugly he is! Only words like "dispicable" should be used to describe the words of this overtly racist person.
Obviously impervious to his OWN ignorance, nitpicker continues to post as if he has the high ground!! Whew!
Even Danny, and neocon wouldn't dare utter the words of nitpicker---even if they thought them deep down in the recesses of their small brains. Even THEY know how repulsive and utterly false nitpicker's words are.

Hey nitpicker---HERE'S YOUR SIGN!
