Shelter has limitations
I would like to think that the newsworthy Great Pyrenees was treated no better or worse than other animals at the county animal shelter (Carla Hughes, letter, Jan. 30).
In seeing to the welfare of homeless animals, the shelter probably hasn't the resources to bathe them (except to rid them of parasites) or to concern itself with the sensibilities of the larger public.

Yeah but they could asleast wash it's owners blood off. Would you want your world turn upside down, to be locked in a cage rather then with your owner at home, and then to have their blood all over you, it is an astonishment. I would not treat my worst enemy that way, would you. PS if you were looking for a dog at the pound, would you dare take one all covered in blood.
think about it
