Hillary Clinton’s experience could help on health care
Hillary Clinton would be the best vice presidential choice for Barack Obama. We need someone experienced in how to get health care for more than 40 million people without health coverage.
She has suggested it be like Social Security so that everyone is covered. Social Security is paid for out of our paychecks. Health insurance is taken out of our paychecks. This way, future generations will be assured of having health care and retirement security.
She knows how it can be accomplished so it will be fair to all. It is very complicated, but she has more than 35 years of experience with government and understands what needs to be done.
With more than 40 million now without coverage, something is not working. Costs continue to rise rapidly with no end in sight. So perhaps with some control of coverage and cost, she is the best one to help get it through Congress.
This is one change that is needed badly for our country. I can’t think of anyone who would be more qualified and trusted to get our health care system on track than Hillary Clinton. She is very popular and has good standing in the Senate.

So, Congress would treat universal health care as fiscally responsible as it has Social Security? We give them our hard earned wages to be put in a pool that would pay for all health care?
What a revolting thought.
I do agree with one idea- America needs Obama/Clinton for four years to snap herself out of the sleepwalk she has been in for the last 20 years.

An Obama/Clinton coma as a cure for sleepwalking....and the world will be a mushroom cloud if the Obamadalilama tries to quit smoking while he is the HNIC..which is less horrifying than McCain. This go around you will surely get the preznit you deserve. You have voted yourself into a corner.

Jesse Jackson was touting socialized health care long before Hillary's failed plan came to light. If experience in failed plans is what the Messiah seeks, he should take a long hard look at the Reverend Jackson for the #2 spot...please.
What a novel idea, Jim. Government deducting money out of our paychecks to fund a program. It's worked so well in the past, wonder why no one has thought of that before?
That '40 million uninsured' included about 12-15 million 'undocumented' border hoppers that the democrats would just love to turn into their latest voting block. (using other peoples' money of course)

Talk about starting off the week with a dumb letter.
1) The VP job isn't to have a person find insurance for a select group of people.
2) Obama would rue the day he picked Hillary, between her and Bill it would be analogous to having two chihuahuas nipping on your heels and yapping in perpetuity.

As usual, the mentally challenged have weighed in with their usual tired, racist remarks.
Chucka:
Explain to polite society, what you mean by "HNIC".
You are dispicable, and you have like-minded company there with Dan, Ellis, and neocon.

Hegelian Novation Inspired Candidate for all you polite society members ..but for the lumpenproles it has numerous pejorative implications. I pray "dispicable" was not the term you intended as I am yet undeserving of the like-minded company you place me among...... polite society- n. A lynch mob with good manners.

LC, I'm deeply offended that you left me off of your "despicable" list. Please try and be more considerate in the future.
BHO picking Hillary for VP would cause his life insurance premiums to skyrocket.
Posted on July 28, 2008 8:38 AM
Hugh, ya gotta work harder to get on the despicable list, but at least you spelled the word correctly for Demon Deacon. Keep trying!!
Demon Deacon, a member of polite society. Now that's about the funniest thing I've seen posted this Summer!!
Posted on July 28, 2008 8:52 AM
can we, the despicable, allow hugh to join as to avoid all the posturing, misunderstanding and campaigning needed for an appointment by a member of the polite society? i'm all for letting hugh in...all for , say aye
Posted on July 28, 2008 9:03 AM
Is this another of those April Fool's letters in July?
oxymoron, since you always seemed to see the racism in letters, could you please, point out the
"racist remarks" you refered to in your comment.
And yes I was hurt not to be encluded in your list.
It would have brightened my day so much.
Posted on July 28, 2008 9:40 AM
Yes it's an April Fool's letter ghost. Anyone who thinks Social Security = retirement security, well...you get it.
Lots of hurt feelings here. I vote Hugh and Ghost on the despicable list as well, aye.
Ghost, Demon Deacon sees racism in EVERY post, in addition to homophobia, misogyny and hatred of toadstools. It's the easiest way to avoid a well thought argument, simply call others racist instead.
Posted on July 28, 2008 10:17 AM
I'm not sure it's a good idea to let Hugh and Ghost into the riff-raff gang. Next thing you know, we'll have talk of meeting for crumpets and latte instead of beer and pork rinds. :]

"...while he is the HNIC." This little comment helps explain why Sen. Helms was able to enjoy a thirty yr. senate career. It also helps explain that little shootout that occurred in Greensboro between the CWP and the sheet robed gentlemen.
If Chucka was honest, he would admit to the true meaning behind his post. You're man enough to do that, right?
Posted on July 28, 2008 1:36 PM
helms was shooting for the klan or the communists? i wasn't totally reconciled to the truth of that event and the death to whomever or whatever rally....i'm sure GSO ceased issuing permits when it was a "death to" rally of any sort..the Hegelian reference probably ticked off some Teutons..for which I apologize
Posted on July 28, 2008 2:50 PM
Argh! I'm voted 2:1 not be allowed on the despicable list. The fate of having to associate with "polite society" is more than I can bear!
Posted on July 28, 2008 3:36 PM
I say let 'em in Neo. You and I have been the primary targets on Demon Deacon's despicable list all these years, but it's only fair that others who so merit join the club. After all chucka is rather new but already on said list.
Conundrum, chucka's post, like the letter, referred to Obama/Clinton. How did your post morph to a dead Senator and a local shooting 29 years ago?
Posted on July 28, 2008 3:41 PM
Chucka,
Nice dodge on your racial slur..."HNIC".
Dan claims to be a great father, and Catholic, but somehow allows you to get by with this, because you are against Obama, ergo against his nemesis the opponent of the GOP.
Where's the outrage Dan?
I was born and reared in the South, and I know the "code words" for many
epithets including "Head N_gger In Charge" !
It is dispicable and I urge all who post here to stand up to this ugliness. My hope is that the moral arbiters will lead the way...Dan?
Posted on July 28, 2008 6:11 PM
Glad you know code words Demon Deacon, being the racial sleuth you are. I've never heard of this acronym HNIC, so no previous comment on it. You will never see me using terms like this, but methinks you should take up your argument with chucka. He posted it, not me.
BTW, it's despicable. Take out the i and substitute an e. Or perhaps it's spelled with an i in the South.
Posted on July 28, 2008 6:24 PM
"Conundrum, chucka's post, like the letter, referred to Obama/Clinton. How did your post morph to a dead Senator and a local shooting 29 years ago?" Dan, as the Liberal Conservative has mentioned twice, "HNIC" stands for either "Head Nigger In Charge" or "Head Negro In Charge." Either way, Chucka does not take ownership of his racist post.
Posted on July 28, 2008 6:27 PM
No, and Dan will not repudiate the slurs of Chucka or neocon, which speaks volumes about his true character.
Posted on July 28, 2008 6:48 PM
I thought 'HNIC' was referencing Hillary...you know the 'Head Nagger' to slick willie...
Posted on July 28, 2008 7:00 PM
I don't agree with chucka's terminology if that is what he was referring to, he came up with Hegelian Novation Inspired Candidate whatever the hell that means. Never heard of the acronym, is it used in hip hop music?
As mentioned prior you won't see me use it, take up your case with him.
I guess chucka moves to the top of the dispic.....err...despicable list.
Neo, you voting hugh and ghost in?
Posted on July 28, 2008 7:47 PM
neocon has gone from pig hater in a previous post to nagger hater in this thread..which reminds me of a Southpark episode. You guys have tickled my funnybone beyond repair and I appreciate it. Keep up the hard work because "dispicable"(yes...dispicable) may be the only acknowledgement you get. Wear it proudly..like a democrat wears gummint cheese on his chin.
Posted on July 28, 2008 7:51 PM
"I don't agree with chucka's terminology if that is what he was referring to, he came up with Hegelian Novation Inspired Candidate whatever the hell that means. Never heard of the acronym, is it used in hip hop music?" Dan, you can't be serious?
If "HNIC" is so harmless, ask your African American neighbor if he is one.
Posted on July 28, 2008 7:55 PM
"Aye"... as long as I get to remain HCIC...
Posted on July 28, 2008 8:26 PM
Chucka, that south park episode is a riot. Kyle's Dad having to kiss Jesse Jackson's arse to atone for his racial slur was priceless.
OK, I'm officially on the despicable list. Does this mean I have to by the beer?
Posted on July 28, 2008 8:44 PM
"Chucka:
Explain to polite society, what you mean by "HNIC". "
For once, TLC calls somebody out on a genuine racist remark.
Kudos on that.
Otherwise, I thought you guys were already members of the Cabal or something, and I think 'd-i-s-...' is how Daffy Duck spells it.
Posted on July 28, 2008 8:48 PM
ACK! I just used the term, "kudos."
Posted on July 28, 2008 8:50 PM
We are members of conundrum's "cabal" but now we are members of Demon Deacon's "dispicable" with an "i" list.
Conundrum, you seem to have not read the posts that I have never heard of the acronym HNIC until today.
Posted on July 28, 2008 9:22 PM
Dan, your denial is disingenuous at best. You still seem to act as if no harm, no foul---is that from "conservative parenting 101". Why don't you do as conundrum suggested and ask your African American neighbor if he wants Obama to be the HNIC or if he's one himself? You've pretty much sunk to new lows on this one....trying to distract attention away with my spelling error. Guess that makes you feel better, but your inability to repudiate your 'conservative' brethren is most telling.
Posted on July 28, 2008 10:22 PM
Once again for the hard headed: "I don't agree with chucka's terminology if that is what he was referring to..."
"As mentioned prior you won't see me use it, take up your case with him."

"For once, TLC calls somebody out on a genuine racist remark."
Yeah there is a first time for everything rahrah. Here are a few goodies:
THE LIBERAL CONSERVATIVE said:
Dan: "You are the worst kind of racist, one who won't admit he was pre-loaded with racism by his parents and hasn't changed much since.

THE LIBERAL CONSERVATIVE said:
Danny,
Have you told your children "why" you always looked up to Jesse Helms? Was it his homophobia or was it his racism? Oh! I get it now---you always liked the way he "kept the ni__ers down"!
Posted on January 28, 2008 8:14 PM
and one of my all time favorites:
THE LIBERAL CONSERVATIVE said:
"I could never be a Republican, because I would have to hate black people, Mexicans, and gay people."
Posted on July 29, 2008 9:04 AM
It's kind of weird that you keep those saved up, Dan.
I'm just saying....
Posted on July 29, 2008 12:50 PM
They have a purpose rahrah, first to illustrate the consistent absurdity of a contemporary Demon Deacon post with those of the past. Secondly they are just so damned funny!!!
Posted on July 29, 2008 1:00 PM
I mean, everyone already knows.
