History to repeat itself with an attack on Iran?

The neocons have devised a way to defeat Obama, and it’s not pretty — creating a stream of war in which we’ll be afraid to switch horses. War is stealthily being launched as it was with Iraq in ’04. You can read the whole story on line in an article titled: “Where Have all the Congressional Consciences Gone?”

I’m referring to resolutions of war pending in Congress — calling for a blockade against Iran on unsupported claims that it is 1) aiding terrorists against America, 2) building WMDs (atom bombs).

The resolution (H. Con. Res. 362 and S. Res. 580) was lobbied by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and co-sponsored by Sen. Elizabeth Dole.

History is about to repeat itself. Congress is set to pass this legislation that will constitute a de facto authorization for unilaterally waged pre-emptive war, this time on Iran. The neocon-Zionist war-seasoned architects of this resolution are smart enough to know Iran won’t sit quietly watching their diplomats and importers stopped by American forces.

It is your duty to inform yourself about your nation’s plan of criminal aggression, so please read the facts in the Huffington link above and our Web site: Democratswrite.com.

As I said, it’s not pretty.

Where have all of the Congressional spines gone?

It does seem like we've seen this story before. (We don't want the smoking gun to turn out to be a mushroom cloud do we?)

Dusty overstates the case (I hope). It's probably just some election year bombast to change the political environment & get the subject off of the Bush economy.

Hugh can tell us, Rufus.

What have you heard, Hugh?

Yvonne [TypeKey Profile Page] said:

I don't think it is such a stretch of the imagination, Rufus. When the people voted for Bush to serve a second term I told everyone (friends/acquaintances) who voted for him that we would be involved in a second war, probably with Iran, before he left office. I even posted it here, in the ltte blog.

While another war may not be officially declared before Bush leaves office, I can believe the plans are in the works under his reign.

This guy uses the Huffington Post as his source and he's supposed to be taken seriously?

Dan [TypeKey Profile Page] said:

Just looked at democratswrite.com, it's worse than the Huffington Post, kinda on par with the Daily Kos.

Here is the article headline where Dusty got some of his info. Give him credit, he didn't write a form letter directly from the site.

America Launches War on Iran!!!

Iraq is fair debate, but even most Democrats realize we were attacked and going into Afghanistan was just.

If you think terrorism and a war against it is mythological I would suggest the following site:

Iran provides financial support for Hezbollah, they have fighters in Iraq killing our soldiers, and they have threatened to wipe Israel off the map (just to mention a few), and we are to ignore their threats? Fine. Let's just tell our military to stand-down for six months until Obama becomes president. He can deal with them using very intense direct diplomacy.

I feel better knowing that Obama and the Democrats (the same people that said the surge was a failure and said our commander in Iraq was General Betrayus) will heal the world when they are elected and in control of our government. I'm sure that Iran will become passive and cooperative.

Ok, Mr. Know it alls.

Considering Bush & co. pissed away a trillion dollars and 4000 lives and 40,000 arms and legs and the will of the American people ..

What are you suggesting be done about Iran?

Short of a cogent answer to the above .. I think you are all full of BS.

This is for Dan "Woaln" (without a last name) and the rest of you predominantly (apparent) Republican ditto-headed bloggers who sound incredulous about what I wrote about H. Con. Res. 362 and S. Res. 580.
Read the thing (the bill) yourself. Not a one of you evidently has. It calls for a blockade. A blockade is in customary terms of international military protocol a pre-emptive provocation of war and this bill calling for it is pending and expected to pass.
Don't take my word for it (or, Dan, don't hang on to your limp assertion that the Huffington Post is my prime authority on this or any issue). The bill is a matter of res ipsa loquitur (which, Dan, would be Latin for "speaks for itself"). If you want the same truth from an authoritative voice, read Senator Ron Paul's speech, given June 28 on the floor of your Congress, which I'll make available to you at the trailing link. The Texas Senator refers to these twin bills as "Virtual Iran War". Here's the link to his speech: http://www.antiwar.com/paul/?articleid=13087 Read it and you might just shed your what-me-worry intellectual aspect.
I won't attempt to respond to all the skeptics who seem to need to cling to their naive belief that the neo-cons aren't stealthily seeding Congress and the Pentagon with a fresh new war plant in Iran, but I will challenge this pseudo-sophistocate calling himself "Dan" to read the "free book" he links and denigrates that's on the website I edit. He clearly didn't read it because he's still clearly ignorant of its irrefutable contents. It's not a book of opinions, but rather a bibliographed listing of facts constituting the time-line and formulaec steps leading to wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The book was written for guys like Dan who get their view of the world from Fox News and Rush Limpbrow. Dan, until you've read "A Clean Break" (or know what it is) you haven't a clue as to the origins of the wars in either Afghanistan or Iraq. And until you've studied and mastered those wars you won't have a clue of how the inchoate war in Iran (the one brewing...not the one not yet on-going, numb nut) is being machinated.
You sophomoric para-historians need to read sufficient history to help the rest of us keep it from being repeated. Afghanistan was a misdirection of force - a war declared on a tactic as opposed to a discernable corporeal enemy. The assailants of 9/11 were Saudi's. Iraq was/is a disaster because it was a war conceived and declared by Jewish and PNAC , AEI, neo-cons, in a stealthy coup they collectively managed in the Pentagon that's on-going and accreting Iran. If you're unaware of the constitution whereabouts or mission statements of the PNAC and AEI, again--you're clueless. And I know you are. The move on Iran is just one of the latter stages in the Clean Break restructuring of the Middle East that Israel and her Domestic (U.S.)--primarily Jewish--subsidizers have covertely arranged. The lobby that engineered H. Con. Res. 362 and S. Res. 580.
is the Jewish AIPAC. Do the flippin math, why don't you, before you vent for the disinformation of your equally-clueless colleagues your uninformed opinions. Don't you know it's better to remain silent and appear a fool than open your mouth (or keyboard) and remove all doubt? Research! Fill the brain - then open the mouth.
The only reason I submitted the original letter to the editors on HR 362 was that the media wasn't covering it. The bill hasn't passed, but there was a time between the proposal and passage of the Patriot Act during which Congress and the people might have read that piece of constitutional sabatage and conceivably averted a civil rights catastrophy. An estimated 95 percent of the statesmen who voted for its passage hadn't even picked up their hard copies that were carted off the Congressional floors by the janitors.
I invite you again to tap into the resources I've researched and posted on the Democratswrite.com website. You're invited to post your comments and dissents if any (without censorship) through me at rschoch@triad.rr.com. If you want the total scoop on the Iran Blockade bill, hit the
moving link "hot topic" on the homepage.
In closing, let me again suggest to you all -
research before you blab....or blog. The
chagrin you save may be your own.
