'Change' to spare
Kathleen Parker’s column (“Why doesn’t Obama have big lead?” July 31) zeros in on the key word in Barack Obama’s political campaign — in big, black lettering — “CHANGE.” She then asks the question, “but change to what”?
That question should be the most important one, asked repeatedly every day by Sen. John McCain, “Change to what”? When considering voting, ask yourselves the same question.

"Kathleen Parker’s column (“Why doesn’t Obama have big lead?” July 31) zeros in on the key word in Barack Obama’s political campaign — in big, black lettering"
This sentence contains one key word to zero in on (hint it's near the end).

Awful early in the morning to play the race card Rufus. Go back to sleep.

Now Dan,
Not playing the race card. Playing the race reality.
I personally know folks that have problems with that particular noun. I suspect lot's of folks that I don't know also do.

Race is a part of this election, whether you want it to be or not.
The fact is, many will vote for him because he's black and many will not because he's black.
Maybe some will even vote because he's half 'n' half, who knows?

People who stick their heads in the sand then say, "I don't know what Obama is proposing," are little children, to be patted on the head and sent off to bed.
If you want to know what kind of exciting and promising change Obama is proposing, get your head out of the FoxNoise sand and visit Obama's web site, watch him on CSPAN and read. Then you can talk with the adults.

This web site?

Scroll down and compare. It's fun for the whole family.
I like where he "refined" this part:
"Obama has a plan to immediately begin withdrawing our troops engaged in combat operations at a pace of one or two brigades every month, to be completed by the end of next year"
The internets have good memories.

Care to expand on that? What have I said that is racist?

"Change to what”?
I finally figured out the "change" Obama is preaching. Change the air pressure in your car tires and we will save so much gas that we will not need to drill offshore or ANWR. Problem solved.

"I finally figured out the "change" Obama is preaching. Change the air pressure in your car tires and we will save so much gas that we will not need to drill offshore or ANWR. Problem solved."
Since America "owns" about 2% of the world's oil ..
Since undiscovered reserves are estimated to add another 2% of world oil ..
Since proper inflation of tires would save about 2% of the worlds oil ..
... proper air pressure will do as much as drilling offshore or ANWR.

Here, Dan, you'll love it.
From an email I received from the McCain campaign:
"But John McCain won't be able to enact these policies without your help in electing him as our next president.
Please help us put Senator Obama's energy plan to the test - donate $25 or more for your very own "Obama Energy Plan" tire pressure gauge.
Thanks, as always, for your support.
Sincerely,
Rick Davis
Campaign Manager
P.S. Our next president's energy policy will need to reduce our dependency on foreign oil. John McCain believes we need offshore drilling now. Senator Obama's plan is calling on Americans to check their tire pressure. We're asking for your help in testing out Senator Obama's energy plan. With your donation of $25 or more right now, we'll send you a tire gauge to test for yourself, Senator Obama's "tire gauge" energy policy."
And I can't post the picture, but the gauge you get when you donate has "OBAMA ENERGY PLAN" printed across it.
Like I said, you'll love it.
