Motorists should check on pets hit by vehicles
This is in reference to the story about the cat that was hit on Bryan Boulevard and ended up in the front of the car.
Remind readers if they hit an animal with their vehicle to stop and be sure the animal is not still alive and suffering a painful and terrifying death by the side of the road.
My pets are indoors only, but I would hope that somebody would be kind enough to stop and check on their welfare if they were in this situation. Animals do not always die instantly and can be treated at a veterinary office.
In addition, if the pet has a collar, contact the owners to let them know what happened.

dear animal lover: out of your car on the side of the road is the most dangerous place in hell and earth to be.

I really do not understand this world now that we live in. Animals have gone to the top of charts, because why? Vets, and I mean the ones that are sent to wars, are not even treated as good as pets now a days. I mean, I like animals, got 18 cows that are more than just a steak on four legs but stopping to make sure they are dead after hitting them is absurd. That could kill HUMANS in the process.
One thing that needs to be done is increase the deer season. And if you have land and rent it to a hunter, make sure he/she kills the limit and not looking for a trophy buck.
And isnt it funny that in America, we cant kill Candian geese but a total of about one month out of 12. Their droppings are about as nasty as maggots in one of those dead animals sitting on the side of the road.
And for the homeowners that have inside only pets, that wander out and get killed, you should have to abey the same law as me if one of my cows got loose and got hit by a car/truck.
Humans do not always die instantly either after wrecking, but it is part of life and you cannot do anything about it.
I am one for human rights more than animal rights. I will not abuse an animal but there is a point to where animal rights have to have a line.
