Obama’s inexperience, ideology are terrifying

The “Democrat” Party and its willing participants in the mainstream media, newspapers included, sicken and disgust me. They constantly mock and impugn conservatives, Christians, pro-life supporters and most anything good, upright and righteous. We “right-wingers” are not perfect nor are we stupid and uninformed.

Beyond my scope of understanding is how any clear-thinking American can support Obama, Biden and the “Democrat” platform. Before you discount me as an ignorant hayseed racist, let me list for you four competent black Americans I admire whom I would have supported for president, had they announced their interest: Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell, J.C. Watts and Alan Keyes.

Bill Clinton’s administration was a mere annoyance to me. But an Obama reign terrifies me. My fear of him has nothing to do with his race, but rather his socialist, Marxist ideology. He is a pompous, arrogant, pandering, smooth-talking, an empty suit, an icon, an image with little or no substance. I do not hate the man. I despise his extreme liberalism.

America has serious problems and the Republican Party isn’t blameless. But, Mr. Obama has neither the experience or know-how to even begin to address the challenges we face.

America has serious problems and the Republican Party is to blame, wholely and without dispute. But, Mr. Hurley has neither the experience or know-how to even begin to address the challenges we face.

Look at the bright side, Chuck. The little messiah will give us a new 'new deal' to supplement the old 'new deal'. This new deal will give 40 million Americans who pay no taxes a 'tax cut'. This should be a great economic stimulus package in it's own right.

The Colin Powell years in the Bush administration are a case study in how ideology (ANY ideology) destroys a party and its people by chewing up and spitting out the best and brightest minds in it's camp all the while rewarding blind loyalty.

Interesting comment...it would appear that to the letter writer all Left Wingers are evil folks.

Is declaring war and destroying a country that was no threat to the USA, killing its citizens and US soldiers good, upright and righteous? Is execution good, upright and righteous? Did the state of our economy and our debt come from good, upright and righteous actions?

Colin Powell quickly disassociated himself from Bush. I too would have voted for him.

Since my trust in the new Republicans is nil, I am going to HOPE that the Democrats can do better.

The “Republicrook” Party and its willing participants in the mainstream media, newspapers included, but especially the Fox News Network and "Republicrook" talk radio, sicken and disgust me. They constantly mock and impugn anyone that does not kneel at the feet of Rush Limbaugh, people who think for themselves, people with any education at all and most anything good, upright and righteous enough not to want to start wars and kill people based on lies. We true Americans are not perfect nor are we stupid and uninformed.

Beyond my scope of understanding is how any clear-thinking American can support McBush, Palin and the “Republicrook” platform. Before you discount me as an ignorant left-winger, let me list for you four competent Americans I admire whom I would have supported for president, had they announced their interest: Master Chief Jesse Southall, USN, Retired, Sam Nunn, John McCain before he converted to John McBush and Dad (but he's a bit busy right now). Half are Republicans, one is a former Democratic Senator from Georgia, and the other is running for President as a clone of George Bush.

George Bush’s administration is nightmare for the entire world and a threat to Democracy everywhere. But another McBush reign terrifies me EVEN MORE. My fear of him has nothing to do with his race, but rather his incompetent, bungling, lying, stealing ideology that takes from the poor and gives to a privileged few middle class people earning a mere $5,000,000 per year and only owning eleven houses, but not sure about the number. He is a pompous, arrogant, pandering, smooth-talking, an empty suit, an icon, an image with little or no substance who helped create a financial crisis once before (the Keating Five) and still wants to give crooked, criminal bankers the right to tell lies on their books and get away with. I do not hate the man. I despise his willingness to sell America to the Chinese one piece at a time, to grovel and obey lobbyists who keep him in the big bucks and to lick the spit off of George Bush's feet.

America has serious problems and the Republican Party stands ready to try and take your tax dollars to line the pockets of the super rich. And, Mr. McBush has neither the desire nor willingness to even begin to address the challenges we face. In fact, he is a big, giant, huge part of the problem.

Isn't it sad that Powell's loyalty to the Republican Party and President Bush, plus his presentation at the UN, led to the taint that will follow his years of service to the country? It doesn't figure that such an intelligent man would allow his reputation to be tarnished.

Thomas, Watts and Keyes are "accomodationists."

Thanks, JDR...I had to build (or diminish) your brilliant response by adapting the letter to my own purposes, as well.

Don't worry Chuck-I understand that you are not trying to take on the job of straightening out the challenges we face. We at the same time don't plan on voting someone into the white house that doesn't have the knowledge or expertise to do the job.
It would be interesting if Americans would take the time to look up the job description for president of the United States.
Clearly this leaves Obama OUT and
McCain/Palin in.
