Boorish fans mar event

We attended the Lyle Lovett/John Hiatt concert recently at the coliseum. We count the entertainment as an evening well spent.

However, the two drunken young men sitting behind us in the balcony were classic boors. They spent the evening entertaining themselves, much to their great amusement, and making beer and bathroom trips.

We feel if alcohol is sold at the coliseum, provisions should be made to ensure the sanctity of the concert.

If you don't want to be offended, don't leave the house. Not a guarantee, of course, but it lessens your chances.

Oh, no, Joe and Elizabeth -- you probably opened a Pandora's Box with your letter IF (ha-ha) The City is reading it this morning.

Yep, The City will be sending out immediate press releases that the proposed renovations to the War Memorial Auditorium (part of the Coliseum Complex) will require MORE money (as if that wouldn't happen anyway) so that a private "Boozers' Balcony" and/or "Boozers' Booth" complete with Bar and Bathrooms will be included in the grand scheme ("scheme" being the operative word).

The baseball stadium has a "family section" seems do-able by the CVM or WMA.

You say you were at the Coliseum?
WHY didn't you just get up and move?
I am sure that Lyle Lovett and John who? didn't sell-out the coliseum!!!
Now, if you were at WMA (which is what you probably meant to say), last time I was there....they didn't allow food OR drinks inside the auditorium.
If these guys were as "drunk" as you claim....they most likely spent most of their time in the lobby where alcohol can be purchased and consumed legally!
Y'all must be some of those 'Asheboro teetotalers' dang it! We can buy alcohol in Asheboro now so I guess we will just drive up to Greensboro and see what we can complain about up there!
Geeeezzz. Stay home!!
