Lefties, you will be sorry

Congratulations, lefties, you got what you asked for. In four years, when you have lost your jobs because of tax burdens placed on businesses, and when your income is eroded by further tax increases to pay for social programs we can’t afford, and money starts pouring out of the markets because of the anti-business agenda of your socialist president, be sure to stop by and thank your neighbor for supporting him and other Democrats.

We have now formalized our entry into the third world of other socialist states. Great job by all.

By the way, News & Record, really loved your election cover. Have to wonder what it would have looked like if McCain had won.

I disagree. At the end of His first term, when we look around at the cesspool of ruins that used to be America, the left will cheer. This seems to have been their goal for the last 65 years or so.

When we witness terrorist attack after terrorist attack on Americans and American interests worldwide with no response other than crawling to the UN begging for 'sanctions' against the perpetrators, we will hear how wonderful the little messiah is for being do constrained and 'not rushing to judgment'. ("Why, He's just taking the advice of His advisers, don't you know")

When the socialists finish bankrupting the country with their bleeding heart health care scheme and other Marxist initiatives, we will hear only how their Chosen One was trying to help the shillrun and we shouldn't blame Him for the failures.

Gone will be the criticisms of being unable to view the caskets of returning dead Americans. After January it will be viewed as 'respect for the dead'...not the result of ill planned policies.

I'm taking odds on how many times we will see the phrase "the mess He inherited from Bush" to explain away the dismal shortcomings of the little messiah by His apologists... not only here, but in the media at large.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is overjoyed, and has already expressed his thanks to the American left, and I suspect Kim Jong Ill is licking his chops along with other America hating fanatics who won last Tuesday.

By the time this is over, we will be begging for another Jimmie Carter.

Obama will be in a precarious position. The govt. is flat broke, the economy in the dumps, yet the special interests who backed him with campaign dough are going to want their just rewards.

Unions are going to want the Employee Free Choice Act implemented. Teachers are going to want more money. Environmentalists are going to want stricter regulations, reduction of coal use, money for global warming reduction, etc. Health care advocates are going to want the mandatory health care for children that Obama promised.

He did promised alot of things to alot of people and they will come calling. So he has a choice to deliver on those goodies and increase the debt even more, or renege on some goodies with the realization 1) that there is no money to pay for them; and 2) governing from the far left will alienate most Americans.

Republicans alone are not beholden to special interests. No siree.

This is going to be interesting. Obama, you wanted the job, it's yours, good luck.

At the end of his presidency we'll all face the question "have our lives improved" during his reign? and print more money if there is still a shortfall (increase inflation). What will be extremely expensive are the “needs” after that. Russia, Iran, and China are all serious concerns, and any future military excursions will essentially cost double what they do today because the prior funds will have been redirected and become never-ending.

Thank you for your well wishes. I can about guarantee you anyone who has the money to travel will have the money to afford my place. I am not going into this venture to make a killing. For the better part of thirty years, I have taken care of people in crisis, sick, injured and dying people. My vision is to participate in people's lives during happier, healthier times. Therefore, I have priced my rooms, the cottage and special events to be affordable for most.

I have had two large weddings (60-100 guests) by the pond and both turned out great. I will have my website up soon: Heartfriends Inn. While my place is no mansion by most standards, it is clean, country elegant and tastefully furnished. And no one can beat the peacefulness and love we offer.

I've been against the bailout from the start. If either mainstream candidate had stood up and opposed it AND said they'd do something about our illegal alien problem they would've taken 80%+ of the popular vote.

We'll print more money in addition to the bailout. That will work out well, though, when minimum wage is raised to $9+ since its worth, as always, will remain almost exactly the same.

Pity the worker who earns $10 an hour right now.

Speaking of bad things: When, after McCain had on countless occassions pulled a pen from his shirt pocket to waved it boldly with a firm promise to veto all pork - then used that same symbolic pen to vote for the bailout bill .. it was obvious he did not believe his own rhetoric.

As for the worker making $10 / hour .. he can always quit then re-apply for the lower reponsibility $9 / hour job. That's what makes America Great.

With all this bail-out stuff, I'm struggling with "Capitalism works when government gets out of the way". Here's what I mean:

Assume Social Security were privatized, ala Bushie in 2005 (right after we had defeated terrorism). Some portion, perhaps 1/3rd of the "contributions" - about $250 Billion - would go into "the market" .. If we're "buying shares", why not pick (using your examples), GM and Ford. With that much to invest you could eventually get close to Serious Influence of some Corporations - and in a perfect world, stop their "continuing failed business practices" ... MAKE - 'EM put out cars Americans want to buy, and make-'em make-'em in the USA. Jobs baby.

Instead, and still using your examples, we get Medicare Part D .. which is one of the largest single governent give-aways ever.

Your final question is right on: "Where are the true fiscal conservatives that will push for an environment where effort and ingenuity guide the marketplace?"
