Bush administration should pay for misdeeds

The George W. Bush administration developed big lies to justify their murderous attacks on Iraq. They continue to shamelessly promulgate these lies. They must be brought to account for their fraud, deliberate deception of Congress and the American people, the use of torture and extraordinary rendition to acquire information of dubious value from prisoners of dubious guilt.

One nation’s pre-emptive destruction of the infrastructure and population of another sovereign nation without provocation is an international crime. The United States participated in the Nuremberg Trials to prosecute Nazis for these same crimes.

It is time for Congress to finally rise to its constitutional obligations and bring to trial every elected and appointed official involved, along with support staff.

Jack: Don't be stupid. Show some intelligence before you write a letter to the editor. CONGRESS approved and Continued to Fund all of our actions in Iraq. Duh? Ask Nancy or Harry why they FAILED to do anything if George was so wrong. And As a Final Note, Thank You President Bush for lowering Gas prices so much for the holiday season so familes could afford to visit each other!

Like Macus noted Congress would have to look in the mirror. Except John Kerry of course, he voted for the $87 billion before he voted against it.

Don't hold your breath Jack, Congress is too busy confiscating our money, giving it to failed corporations and otherwise spending this country into oblivion.

Hey Jack, let me first say that if ignorance was a crime our jails would be bulging with fools like you.

You clowns that troll the left wing web-sites for your information need to try a new source. The first thing you need to do is to look at all of the statements made by every prominent Demo-Rat concerning Saddam's WMD. You won't find them on the left wing sites, but I have an entire file if you're interested.

Next you need to look up the definition of torture in the dictionary, rather than having the definition made up by fools like you to suit your deranged political agenda.

Then research the information gleaned from KSM. That's part of the reason that some deranged terrorist hasn't blown up your sorry butt, or anyone elses for more than 7 years! That's the president's main responsibility, to protect the country, even fools like you!

Bush has had enough failings for which he should be held accountable. At the top of the list is starting us down the road to Socialism, and letting an un-elected bureaucrat to spend more than $800 billion of our money for, still, unknown reasons, and with no success in helping the economy.

But unlike you sick bleeps on the left, I don't have to have an irrational hatred toward him to disagree with many of his failed policies. Let's see how much things improve under our new "Savior!"

Panacea [TypeKey Profile Page] said:

tonymo, you exaggerate the truth about intelligence gained from KSM. He was tortured into revealing what he knew.

Thousands of others with no intelligence value have been and are still being tortured for no other reason than anger and hatred.

Torture is abhorrent to a civilized society. There are other methods for obtaining information.

Face fact: Bush lied to Congress about WMD. He lied about what the war would cost. He lied about what the CIA was doing in their secret prisons. He violated the spirit of our Founding Fathers by condoning torture. He authorized attacks on innocent civilians.

Read about the latest outrage? Our soldiers murdered a suspect who had already surrendered (without a fight) and cut off a finger as a war trophy. Their actions not only dishonored the efforts of the 99% of our troops who are doing a good job, who want to keep America safe, who want to see Iraq become a better place for people to live. Those actions undermine the heroic sacrifices already made. But this latest outrage will be minimized or swept under the rug just like Abu Gharib was, and the people responsible will not be punished. Just a few token scapegoats. At best.

Bush should be charged with war crimes. What he did in Iraq isn't on any higher moral ground than Slobodan Milosovic (sp?) in Bosnia. We need to stop sending the world the message that "because we're America, it doesn't matter what we do--we will always be above not only international law, but our own laws."

Might makes Right.

I am tired of so many saying that Bush lied about the WMD'S. Before the war even Gen. Colin Powell agreed that they were there. Did you hear on the news or see in the paper when the "yellow corn" that Valerie Plame went to check on in Iraq said that there was none and then bless patty it was found. It was not told in order to protect Iraqies and our troops. Well, after reading the above I just googled wmd's sent to Canada and came up with this http://current.com/items/89549104/iraq_wmd_materials_sold_to_canada.htm
Please check it out. You have the option to believe it or not. There are other articles on this subject also.
It would be nice if in this new year some of you would change your writings to be more positive than being so negative all the time. There are a lot of good folks that do good deeds but very seldom do I see it on these blogs.
Some think their opinion or answer is the only right one and just continue back and forth.
Well, I said my part except I hope all of you have a very happy, healthy, prosperous and most blessed new year!

Sorry, I should have said "yellow cake" instead of "yellow corn".

Panacea, KSM was waterboarded for approximately 35 seconds. There are no lingerin effects of the procedure. Our own CIA guys experience the very same procedure. it scares the Hell of the person, but there are no lingering injuries, as is necessary to be considered torture. There are not "thousands" being tortured. If so, please provide a list of who, when, where, and by whom.

True torture is in continuing to have to listen to you leftist lunatics talking about torture, and repeating the, apparently required, Bush lied about WMD. Our intelligence, British, intelligence, and Egyptian intelligence all got it wrong, they didn't lie. If you want real lies, just listen to our "esteemed" members of Demo-Rat controlled congress blaming everyone but themselves for the financial meltdown for which they are primarily responsible.

Awesome. Can we mark this standard down somewhere? I suggest a copy be filed under "2nd Amendment."

Face reality Jack. As much as your stones yearn for Bush to be arrested, tried and hung off a bridge in Baghdad it ain't gonna happen.

Obama will bet up to his arse in alligators bailing out corporations, appeasing the far left for inviting Rick Warren to the parade, and telling the Israelis and Palestinians to play nice.

Bush is history, get over it.

For all you folks (Conservatives/Republicans) who vociferously criticize Obama for his appointments and the lack of integrity that some of them have, I hope you criticized Bush as well. Otherwise, you have no credibility and should remain silent. Although I support Obama, I do not consider myself a Dem or a Repub. I would much rather be an American that is alligned to the rule, law, and justice. Those of you that supported the misdeeds of Scooter Libby/Cheney and said, "show me proof that they did something wrong." And now you're talking about ethics or lack there of with the current appointments...you are the problem with America. You (if that description fits you) are what is wrong with America and are extremely hypocritical. I, on the other hand, feel liberated because I can unequivically support the Clinton impeachment and feel incredulous about the Rose law firm records showing up on Clinton's secretary's desk...just as I feel incredulous about Bush and Cheney destroying years of emails as well as their other misdeeds. The long and short is....if you voiced your opinion loudly when Bush did his shenanigans, then feel free to do it now. Otherwise, shut your mouth and go back to your cave.
