Tipping off the bad guys by publicizing D.C. trip?
If I were a robber, murderer, child molester, rapist, etc., I would have been very happy to learn that our already short-handed police department would be sending 50 of our finest to guard the next president. Good job, police department and News & Record, for letting the low-lifes know.
Now I think that was a fine idea, but the news could have been printed after they got back.

Our little local newspaper has a habit of printing names and addresses of people involved in accidents. This is especially dangerous when they follow up with "So and so was admitted to such and such a hospital." This is another way to tempt low-lifes.
The only people I let know I am going away for a short while are my family members and trusted friends.

Oh such ignorance once again! The police dept allowed only a certain number of officers per squad to be eligible for the DC trip to prevent a significant loss in manpower. If any supervisors over those squads thought it was necessary they could have replaced those officers with people that should have been off duty. Only around half the officers that went to DC would have been on duty in Greensboro those days anyway. This is another fine example of an over zealous peanut gallery.

I have been trying to tell ya'll the media is alot of our problem. The media is why the economy is slow. I'm telling you soon they will say what a great job Obama is doing and people will start spending money and Obama will take the credit. The media wanted Obama as president if you think im wrong think back to the way they reported the election. One good example, Palin spending to much on clothes, but Mrs. Obama can spend the same money and they just talk about how nice her clothes work. Good post.
