U.S. support for Israel embarrasses American

Israel is a larger terrorist organization than any named by the U.S. government. If you look at the events of the last 50 years, every time there is a hope of peace, or a peace plan sponsored by allies of the Arab world, Israel unleashes its U.S.-supported army on the Palestinians.

It embarrasses me as an American that our government is a coward about saying anything to the Israeli government. If the rest of the world is against Israel’s actions, why doesn’t our government see the problem? It is no wonder that Israel is the most hated government in the world.

I am neither a Palestinian nor a Jew. I am an American who believes in humanity and what is right. I do not hate Jews but hate the Israeli government! If Israel had not stolen the land it occupies, there would be no violence. The United States tells all other countries what is acceptable behavior but says nothing to Israel.

Our men and women are fighting for Iraqi freedoms while we support Israel’s oppression of the Palestinians. How hypocritical is that?

It's the Elders of Zion behind all this. They use mind control tactics, usury, and hypocrisy to control the U.S. government. But if you cover your head with tin foil and keep your money in a jar, you can resist them.

Speak for yourself, I am not embarrassed! You must watch a lot of MSNBC.
We are hated because we try to buy friends, Bush has sent more money to Africa than any former president. Guess what they hate him.
Did the Jews cause, this mess in India, did the Jews cause 9/11?

David,

Much (sorry I do not have the exact number) of the land was purchased from Palestinians. Iraq, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Jordan dislike the Palestinians and would rather have them settled in Gaza and refugee camps than become residents of their lands. Iran loves them because they will fight a religious war for them.

Of the approximate 6.5 million residents of Israel there are roughly 1.5 million Arabs, and for the most part are peaceably living and doing commerce. It is projected that in 20 to 40 years the Arabs may outnumber the Jews in Israel due to the high birth rates of the Arabs compared to Jewish families. The history of religious conflict precedes the establishment of Israel by many hundreds of years. Regarding usury and financial acumen of those of Jewish faith, the Catholic Church did its best to drive business to the industrious Jewish entrepreneurs by forbidding Christians from taking on this occupation hundreds if not thousand years ago. Many times in discussion of usury the word greed is brought up, but on the flip side, good old American capitalism, the impetus of our material wealth, is seeded in people making bucks, lending, investing and creating new businesses. It is more our religion than Christianity (sorry only an observation and not a judgement).

Lastly, I am not Jewish, nor do I support the harsh response of Palestinians and civilians, but the Israelis get tried of ducking the rockets. Even the PLO consider Hamas a bunch of thugs. We can only hope that the new administration will drive a lastly peace accord with the various hostile parties.

I wonder if David Pauly would expect his govt. to do something if a bunch of rogue terrorists in Oak Ridge were were incessantly raining down rockets on Summerfield?

Stephanopoulos had Durbin on this morning and even Durbin stated that Israel had the right to defend itself.

I'm not by any means a Durbin fan but he is right on this one. Also condolences to him and his wife on the loss of their daughter at 40 years of age.

A quick easy solution to cure embarrassment of being an American.

Not to worry, the world will love us again come January 20.

Good cartoon in the op-ed section today. Biden and Obama are standing over two men on the ground rolled in a ball fighting each other. Each is holding a rocket pointed at each other, one labeled 'Hamas' the other 'Israel'.

Biden says "I did say you'd be tested within six months - I need to revise that estimate".
Obama "I need a cigarette".
