I am not a liberal and voted for a change from the Republican Party and GWB. Given the high metropolitan vote for Obama, I can only assume that there is an abundance of liberals living in Charlotte, Raleigh and Greensboro, according to your definition. Joan is welcomed to live here. Please do not be closed minded as shown by your sterotyping. Acknowledge the facts and what is obvious.

Joan, I promise that most of us who did not vote for Obama are nevertheless decent neighbors. We won't bite, and we will pretty much leave you alone if you leave us alone.

I lived for years in greater Chicago, with only my spouse for conservative company, and I survived the experience. In fact, it was educational. You, too, will survive, even if you have to live with the terrible thought that your neighbor might not hate George Bush as much as you do.

Bill, those aren't Dog's words. They're Speaker Pelosi's:

"Every month that we do not have an economic recovery package 500 million Americans lose their jobs."

Said it twice in two separate incidents, matter of fact. Which means it wasn't a "fifty seven states" type of easily-shunned mistake.
