Our nation is letting infrastructure crumble
I am constantly amazed that we of the richest nation on earth are so obsessed with freebies that we will let highways, railroads and sidewalks deteriorate rather than practice good maintenance of the world we live in. After all the tax cuts for big business and the rich, maybe we should go back to letting them help us all have a better place to live.

I wonder if healing the planet includes sidewalks and bridges?...

Neo, only if they are built in green fashion with green materials by green people.
Hey, it's too dark out to see anything, did it snow?

Don't you just love those "tax & spend" Democrats who don't bother to pay their own taxes ?

Monica, the "D" = miscue...or unintentional oversight.

If the Feds put my grandchildren and their grandchildren in debt could we please just get the Yadkin River Bridge, a Federal interstate highway bridge, a little drop of the dough? This bridge is a North Carolina nightmare. The replaced Manteo bridge was not ever or could have been more important to commerce than the interstate two lane bridge that is crumbling down. Feds are you listening? I know you need a new bridge to Buzzards Bay but my great-greatgrands and beyond need to pay for the greed of Wall Street and may still be left with danger.Christine
