How are families coping with troubled economy?
Regarding unemployment payments, foreclosures and health care problems:
I am fortunate enough not to be personally affected by any of the above categories. But just how much help are people getting? Scanning the newspapers, I don’t see a lot of help for
individual families.
Are unemployment benefits enough to feed and house a family?
Are foreclosures being stopped, and is health care being provided?
I honestly want to know. Can Social Services or the Greensboro City Council or Guilford County commissioners tell us?

Nothing to worry about Ed. Greensboro's portion of the stimulus money will help to re-pave city streets which will ease folks in getting to the library where they can use the new stimulus provided computers with upgraded wireless access to file for their unemployment and food stamps.

In general, the art of goverment consists of taking as much money as possible from one party of the citizens to give to the other.

I do not know about NC but I heard on NPR yesterday that Florida is considering a state law (or some kind of action) to force lenders and home owners, who are about to enter foreclosure, into negotiations. It seems the courts are clogged with foreclosure cases as there are about 750/month and has been for some time.
With the dismal job market and more and more job losses here in NC, it's only a matter of time before foreclosures are overwhelming our courts.

I hope the government isn't taking your money away.
Then you'll be:
