How television will save your life
If you're looking for love at your local gym, the workout bargain I'm about to describe probably won't fly.
But for the rest of us who are married or otherwise committed, here it is: Just let yourself go.
OK, that's not a viable option. At least my wife seems to feel that way. (Geez, some people.) So here's plan B:
Buy the exercise equipment and work out in front of the tube.

Well, my cramped-quartered pal, you're out of luck.
Oh, I kid the Keanu.
Here's how I did it. Buy something like the Total Gym 1100 and an upright exercise bike that works on magnetic resistance so it's quiet (got to hear the TV).
Check used sporting equipment stores including Play it Again Sports for bargains.
Hey, stop waving your hand in my face. I can see you just fine. Go ahead Keanu.

All I can say is, more power to you. Whatever works.
Anyway, let's crunch the numbers:
Total Gym 1100: $200.
Exercise Bike: $150-$350
Total: $350-$550.
That breaks down to $29 to $45 a month spread out over a year, somewhere in the ballpark regarding gym membership dues.
