The popular iPod just got a little cheaper.
Apple Computer Inc. has cut prices on its iPod digital music players including the 1-gigabyte iPod shuffle. It dropped the price to $129 from $149.

Apple Computer Inc. has cut prices on its iPod digital music players including the 1-gigabyte iPod shuffle. It dropped the price to $129 from $149.
If you currently shop at one of the 13 Winn-Dixies in the Triad, it won't be long before you have to choose Harris Teeter or another store to buy groceries.

Feeling stressed?
"Savvy Shopper" columnist Amy Joyner, who writes about the latest retail news in the Triad, has just the cure.
Circuit City has Cyberhome DVD players (progessive scan) on sale for $24.99 (after $15 mail-in rebate), which is a great deal.
But is it junk or worth getting?
Gas is selling for $2.05 a gallon at two places in Greensboro, which is the cheapest price in the Triad as of this morning, according to gasbuddies.com.
Walgreens (not including the warehouse clubs with membership fees) has the lowest price I've seen in the Triad regarding printing your digital photos.
Food Lion just lowered its price on blueberries.
It's easily the best deal I've seen on blueberries in the Triad so far this year.
Everyone deserves a nice luggage set.
I know, grocery bags are free (but are they really?).
But how about saying goodbye to plastic bags and hello to real luggage without breaking the bank?

Just in time for the weekend, Food Lion has T-bone and porterhouse steaks on sale for $4.99 a pound (limit two).
Regular $8.99.
Winn-Dixie has appliances including a steam iron, 12-cup coffee maker, two-slice toaster, electric can opener and food chopper on sale for $7.77 each (regular $12.99).
Sale ends Tuesday.

Food Lion has white seedless grapes for 79 cents a pound. That's pretty good when you consider they're usually $2.99 a pound.
Fresh Market is having a sidewalk sale on root beer, hot dogs and apples at its Greensboro and Winston-Salem stores.
A store that specializes in collegiate apparel for $9.98 or less is opening in High Point, Amy Joyner reports in today's Savvy Shopper column.
The lowest gas price in the Triad is $2.11 a gallon, according to gasbuddies.com.
