A Far Cry from boring

A new game features a tropical island mixed with gunfire and explosions, or paradise for gamers.

Well, not to get carried away. "Far Cry Instincts" video game, which I reviewed on my podcast GameBuzz, isn't without its faults. But it's still a good game worth checking out.

Buy it for $49.99 (standard price) at Electronics Boutique and you get free a copy of "Rainbow Six 3" for the Xbox.

However, I'd rent it first. Or wait and buy it used to save some money.

Far Cry is set to be released Sept. 27.

By the way, for all you gamers out there, I started a column featuring the latest video game news and deals in the Triad and beyond.
