Discounts on coffee at the right time
College students who volunteer can get their caffeine fix a little cheaper than the rest of us, who will be paying even more.
News & Record reporter Lanita Withers writes in today's paper how volunteers at Guilford College's Greenleaf coffeehouse get a 25 percent discount on drinks and 15 percent off baked goods.
In exchange, they work at least four hours a week behind the counter.
