If you could talk to the animals

You'd say, hey, I just saved a bunch of money gawking at you by switching to the Bargain Blog.

"Come closer. Yes, I'm talking to you. No, I won't bite."

That's because yours truly is letting you in on a little deal: a discount to visit the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro over the Labor Day weekend.

It's a 2-for-1 offer that should help soothe the savage inner bargain-hungry beast.

Two people will be admitted for $10, so find someone, anyone, to tag along.

Otherwise, single admission prices will remain $10 for adults, $6 for children 2-12 and $8 for seniors and college students.

The zoo is six miles southeast of Asheboro off U.S. 220 and U.S. 64.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
