A bargain to die for

So I'm reading Freakonomics and they're talking about how the Internet is empowering people when it comes to finding bargains. Or at least finding out if they're getting ripped off. Not that that's exactly breaking news, but an interesting result mentioned in the book is the falling price of coffins.

I mentioned this to News & Record reporter Katie Reetz, who just so happens to be doing a story profiling a funeral director. She mentioned Costco, no less, is in the coffin-selling business.

But Katie said you can’t ship them to North Carolina just yet - only 26 states allow caskets to be mailed. But you may still be able to buy urns and other funeral accessories.

Costco has this baby for $925.
