I got a set of Taylor Made ICW 11s that's been missing a 4-iron for a while now.
So I did a little research on the Internet and came across ironfinder.com, a Web site that sells used irons.
Ordered it last Monday and it arrived at my doorstep via FedEx on Friday, just in time for golf this past weekend. Cost of the club plus shipping was under $20, so not bad at all.
But it's going to cost you a lot more to replace a more sought-after club such as a 9-iron. It's $50 just for the club.

We missed last week's episode of the ABC series "Lost" and figured we'll just pay a few bucks to watch it on iTunes. But it turns out ABC is now brodcasting them for free on its Web site.
Sure, there's a catch - you have to sit through commercials. Big deal. Give it to me for free and I'll be happy to sit through 'em.

We've come a long way, baby, since the dawn of the video rental stores.
Today, you can rent a movie for a buck - unheard of back in the 1980s - at the grocery store no less. And we're talking new movies. Not just new, but good. Titles including Casino Royale and Blood Diamond. Where is this magical place, you ask?
Well, at least in Greensboro, you may have spotted these red DVD rental kiosks at your local Harris Teeter.
They're run by a company called Redbox.
Here's the deal: Just pick a movie on the touch screen, then enter some info. including your e-mail address, slide your debit card in the machine, and the movie pops out. You get to keep it for 24 hours. Then just go back to the kiosk, press the touch screen to return it, then slide it back in the same slot. Presto.
This is a great alternative to the traditional video rental places, which sometimes require you rent a movie for 7 days minimum at close to $10. Or through your digital cable, which runs about 4 bucks a movie. Or you're the rare movie renter and can't justify subscribing to a DVD rental service such as Netflix if you're like us and are spending a ridiculous amount of money per month for cable anyway.

Nothing beats the taste of charcoal-flavor steak, chicken breasts, burgers or dogs. Yes, I know, gas grills are pretty convenient (except the refilling your propane tank part). And we grew up with a gas grill. But lava rock-flavor steaks versus charcoal-flavor? Is there really any contest?
And with gas grills, all you do is press a button and poof (well, on some of 'em you got to stick one of those long matches through a hole and turn on the gas). Yawn.
Come on now. Don't you miss piling on those black fossils, then dousing them with liquid fun (I make sure they're drenched), then lighting them (each corner, spread 'em out), then watching as flames shoot 5 feet into the air? Then - crack - the sound of a beer opening - sit back and watch the show.
Gulp. Man, it don't get no better than this. Sorry Hank.
It's also gotten a little cheaper this week. At least one grocery store chain in the Triad - Harris Teeter - has Kingsford on sale for $6 ("Match Light" or original). Regular $10.
