Get much more out of your car stereo

Tired of commercial radio? Me too. Not sure you want to plunk down the bucks for satellite radio? Join the club. Consider getting an FM transmitter. That way, you can listen to your downloaded podcasts and music on your .mp3 player through your car stereo. Makes those long road trips from hell - you know the ones where I-85 or I-95 are parking lots because of construction or a wreck a few miles up the road - a little more bearable.

Woot has an FM transmitter for $10 (plus $5 shipping) so you can listen to podcasts or music on your .mp3 player through your car stereo.

That's a pretty good price, although it doesn't charge your player. Check out Woot's handy customer comment section for more feedback.

Regarding those horrendous traffic jams caused by construction, something we'll never do again after it took us 12 hours to get to Philly for Thanksgiving is not know about it ahead of time. This Web site lists planned construction throughout the country.

Happy trails.
