Cheap lunch, rubbery goodness
Kmart Super Center has a 10 for $10 deal on Michelina's frozen dinners.
I like 'em. Some better than others. But in the interest of fairness because, let's face it, I'm a little biased (I think I have the best taste buds, although my wife may beg to differ), I came across a review, albeit a little dated, by Slate.com that mentions one Michelina's product in particular.
Let's just say I doubt Michelina's has it framed on a wall in the company's reception area:
"The worst is the Budget Gourmet. It is the cuisine equivalent of the landlord banging at your door. You eat the Chicken With Fettuccini Cream Sauce straight out of the ripped-open box. The portion is tiny, the chicken is in rubbery cubes so uniform they barely look like food, and the noodles are all clumped together on one side. You have to pull them apart with a fork."
But it's rubbery goodness for a buck! Come on!
