Bargain brew ha ha
Tired of the same 'ole brewskies? The Press Wine Cafe, a restaurant and wine bar in downtown Greensboro, has one of the best selections of beer I've seen in the Triad. (Note to management: Change your name. Beer buffs would never know about your great selection by just calling it a wine cafe). Go on Fridays and all the beers are 50 percent off. Got out of my beer comfort zone and sampled a variety of brews from places I didn't know made some good stuff.

Case in point is a Russian brew called Baltika 3.
Hey, I know they're the king of vodka? But they make good beer, too?
Prices on beer range from $4.50 to upwards of about $25, some in 750 ML bottles, some in pints, some 12-ounce, before the 50 percent discount.
Also tried some home-grown brews, including Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale made in Maine, which gets pretty good marks from beer enthusiasts.
I'd also recommend the Pale Ale Steelhead.
Cheers.
