Fore! Watch out for the lost driver
A follow-up regarding the question I raised in an earlier post on whether you can take advantage of a great bargain on golf in Greensboro but still finish all 18 before dark. The answer is yes, with room to spare. We teed off at 3:15, thereabouts, wrapped things up about 7:45.
It was somewhat of a surreal experience, so we got more than we bargained for. As I was walking toward the driving range to warm up, I saw a gold-color car in the corner of my eye drive past, heading toward the first tee. I asked the starter about it. He saw it too, then shouted for someone to go after it. Turned out an elderly woman had become disoriented and was lost. They managed to get her back on track without any injuries or property damage. No gophers were harmed either.
Then someone in our group broke his golf club after teeing off on the second hole. You can see the result in this video. Warning: not for the faint-hearted (there's some really bad golf being played).
