Black Friday hype or the real deal?
They bought less this time around, but many shoppers still got up extra early and stood in long lines to take advantage of yesterday's sales.
Did it pay off?
In other words, were the deals about what you expected? Better? Worse?

Those shopping fools would be a hundred times better off to put their money in a savings account - use the first saved $1000 to buy a US savings bond; after accumulating $5000 in savings bonds buy a CD or maybe talk to a broker about a municipal or coporate bond - no one ever accumulated wealth by purchasing consumable goods - make your money work for you - stop spending, start saving -

We bought a few things, but I noticed that a lot of the "advertised specials" on things like Wii systems and high-demand games were really the regular prices.
Also, we planned to use our "$15 off on $150 or more" Circuit City coupon from the Attractions book Friday and were told "We're not taking those today."
I have friends who camp out every black Friday, and they got some sweet deals.
