Great digital camera for bargain hunters

If you're looking for a digital camera for yourself or as a gift but don't want to break the bank, the Canon A590 might be the best choice out there.

Prices start at $109.99.

In the Triad, the cheapest I've seen is $119.99 at Circuit City.

Customer reviews have been positive. Ditto regarding expert reviews.

Must-have features that this camera includes: image stabilization to help prevent blurry photos. Also uses SD cards, which make uploading photos to your computer convenient. Plus it uses AA batteries. No need to worry about running out of juice at the zoo or the beach or ski slope where outlets are a mile away. Just store some extra batteries in your pocket.

I bought the Canon A570 last December for $179.99 and have no regrets. Features on my camera appear to be identical to this one, although mine is a 7.1-megapixel camera. This one is 8 megapixels.

Also takes decent video in a pinch. Here's an example.

I own this camera. I bought it last spring for $149 and I have been very pleased with it. I don't know a lot about cameras, but I did some research on it before purchasing. I have found it very easy to use. Haven't used the video yet, but I'll try it after seeing your results.
