I bought an Everio in September and it works really well. Quality is superb, particularly the zoom feature (mine is 35X optical zoom). One feature I love that this camcorder also has is the ability to record your video onto a micro SD card. The chances I'll even need to store that much video on the hard drive are slim to none anyway since I'm never recording more than an hour's worth of video at one time.
The card makes it easier to upload video to your computer (look ma, no cables).
Other cool feature: Laser touch operation. The scroll bar and buttons are touch-sensitive so you just glide your finger up or down the bar to choose menu items.
