RF Micro goes after infrastructure market
RF Micro Devices has created a new transistor technology that it hopes to sell to companies building wireless infrastructures.
The company, which is already known for its chip technology for wireless handsets in a variety of uses from cellular telephones to global position systems, says that the wireless infrastructure market is a key growth area.
The new Gallium Nitride transistor can supply high-power, broadband equipment for "the next generation wireless infrastructure," a news release said today.
