AT&T North Carolina president to retire
AT&T North Carolina, formerly called BellSouth, announced Thursday that president Krista Tillman will retire and be replaced by a longtime AT&T executive.
Tillman has worked in telecommunications for 28 years and took the helm of BellSouth's state operations in 2000. Cynthia Marshall, who most recently acted as a senior vice president for regulatory affairs for AT&T California, will assume the position of state president, according to a company news release.
Telecom giant AT&T closed an $85-billion deal to buy Atlanta-based BellSouth late last month. The company is in the process of rebranding all BellSouth materials under the new name of AT&T North Carolina.
