CVB awarded for a job well done
Just stop by the Koury Convention Center on any given weekend and you'll see the crowds of glassy eyed conventioneers toting bags of promotional swag. That's a sign the Greensboro Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is doing its job.
The group has now earned big recognition for its hard work: ConventionSouth magazine awarded the CVB its annual Readers' Choice award.
The award, handed out in December, is voted on by the magazine's 18,500 readers and is given only to top vote getters out of 2,000 meeting sites and CVBs.
“The value in receiving this recognition is that it comes from the United States’ top meeting planners who book events in the South. These planners demand the highest level of customer service and quality facilities, and they have determined that the recipients of ConventionSouth’s Readers’ Choice Awards do indeed display the commitment to professionalism, creativity, excellence and outstanding customer service they require,” said ConventionSouth President and Publisher J. Talty O’Connor.

Perhaps the High Point Market might consider hiring it's neighbor city's CVB to help successfully market the HP/Triad Market in light of the stiff competition of the Las Vegas furniture convention.
